I liked the convenience of the pump packaging and the fact that it’s made without sulfates, silicones, or parabens. For me, the downside was the scent—the sandalwood came through too strongly and overpowered the “coastal breeze” notes. It wasn’t unpleasant, just heavier than I prefer. Overall, it’s a solid clean-ingredient option if you want a simple, fuss-free shampoo and conditioner in one. If you’re sensitive to strong woody scents, I’d recommend trying one of the other Native fragrances instead.

But after using it the next morning I thought it just smelled like chlorine and it reminded me too much of the way your hair smells after you get out of the pool and sit there for a while. The actual shampoo though was great.

It’s a good price point BUT LET ME TELL YOU I HATE TRYING TO OPEN THESE BOTTLES. It never fails that every time I get a Native product, the pump is twisted and locked so tightly, that I just about want to give up and thrown the product away. It’s so unnecessary and frustrating. Might have given the product another star if it wasn’t for this CONTINUOUS ISSUE.

The smell is super clean and fresh but not overwhelming at all. Just enough to get little whiffs every now and then. The texture was very soft and silky and lathers very well. It rinsed well with out leaving any residue and I really feel it left my hair with some extra bounce and shine. I'm quite impressed. I will definitely look for more products in this line from Native.

Perfectly right in the middle! If you have long or thick hair, I would probably still use a conditioner after, but this should be fine alone for shorter more fine hair. Suds up nicely, and leaves my hair feeling clean and soft! Native packaging is always good in my opinion, one of the first things that drew me to the brand; nothing is any different with this one. One of my favorite scents for sure!
