It's great if the lid stayed on

The lid for the pickle side does not want to tighten sometimes and the only way to fix the issue is to dry the lid and top of the jar. I don't know why the lid fights us to stay sealed but now we have pickle juice inside the fridge and on the floor just from moving the thing over. I don't know if maybe we got a defect? I would not recommend as this is more of a pain than actually helpful.
