Physicians Formula Butter Glow Illuminating Serum - 1 fl oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pretty impressed with this. It gives a soft, radiant finish that makes skin look healthy without being overly shiny or glittery. The texture is lightweight and blends well underneath and/or with makeup. It also adds some nice hydration without feeling heavy or greasy.

I love a nice glowy base under my foundation and was excited to try the Physicians Formula Butter Glow Illuminating Serum. It smells divine and it applied very evenly to the skin. It blends nicely (I just used my fingers) and it wears nicely under foundation. I gave it three stars because I was not a fan of the shimmer. I personally thought it was a bit too shimmery for my skin type, rather than glowy (my ride or die is the Loreal Lumi Glowtion)

I would probably just put it on your high points and not all over. Heavily scented. Feels a little tough on my sensitive skin.

It is lightweight and absorbs right into your skin. I can’t even tell I’m wearing it. I does have a very slight summery sunscreen smell, which I love. It looks great on its own or under my foundation. It also doesn’t break me out which is a plus. I will probably continue buying this product after I run out

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think that the packaging tells a good story of this product. The golden shift in this illuminator is reminiscent of a sunset on the beach. Warm vanilla coconut notes make up the fragrance, transporting you to that setting even in the dead of winter. This product applies evenly and if easily patted into the skin. I prefer to use this just on my cheekbones and anywhere else I would apply a highlight. I generally do not use foundation day to day, so this light application is perfect for me. The dropper bottle gives you full control of how much product is dispensed and is one of the more hygienic vehicles to do so. I appreciate the glass bottle and dropper. It makes the product feel expensive. If you like to wear foundation, this would give you a lovely glow if applied underneath. I would probably recommend this more for the dry/normal skin girlies as it is quite moisturizing. Overall I do like this product. A little goes a long way! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This serum smells divine! Like a tropical oasis, perfect summer scent. When applied straight it can look quite shimmery, almost too much. I suggest sheering it out by mixing a dropper with your moisturizer. I currently am a fair girly and applying it that way gives me the perfect glow, not too glittery but also not sweaty looking. Makeup applies well over it, I have not noticed it pilling at all when layered. I can’t wait to use this with a tan in the summer!

It’s buildable for more of a highlight and wears all day long. Beautiful on its own or layered under cream/liquid products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Butter glow serum brightens up your skin leaving it super glowly. This would pair nice under a lighter coverage foundation. It is not greasy and rubs into the skin and absorbs quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly wasn’t for me. It was more on the sparkly side and kind of felt like kids makeup. I tried to first mix with my moisturizer for a glowy base but I looked like a pearl. Another time I tried just don’t the high points of my face and inner corner of my eyes and it was just too much. A little goes a long way - it’ll give you that so this would last you forever. It’s just not my cup of tea!
