Very poor replacement
The new formula gives very poor results compared to the old formula, it also smells horrible, and people have noticed the awful smell

Awful product!
Really awful. Used the old product for years and it was amazing. This does not untangle curls, leaves hair dry and sticky and you cannot get a comb through it. Why destroy a superb product? Am looking for suggestions of a different brand that does what the old product did . If I could give negative stars I would!

Best mousse
This is the best mousse I’ve found for my curl hair texture. It gives definition without crunchiness. My curls are light and bouncy. I love this mousse!

The best product ever ruined!
Why do companies continue to ruin a great product? To cut cost or did they sell the brand to a corporate conglomerate which as we all know ruin great products. The dream curl reviver mousse was perfect. Now the mousse has an awful smell. Makes my curls fall flat and container nozzle is awful. Why change a great product? The new label looks like an ordinary cheap brand. As the old saying goes if it aint broke. Listen to your customers your loyal base customers. We are unhappy with the new change to the once great product John Frieda Dream Curl Reviver Mousse. Go back to the table and re-think the error that was made. Reconsider what was done and let's make your customers happy again! Go back to the original great product. Is it worth losing your customers to an idea someone thought would be great or to maybe cut cost?

I have been using this product for 20 years. They have changed the looks of the bottles a couple of times through the years but with the new purple bottle they also changed the formula. It does not smell the same way it used it and it does not work as it used to. BRING BACK the original formula. Plus some of the nozzles bark and half of the product goes to waist.

Product is fine but the packaging fails
I am currently on my fourth bottle in a row where after just a few weeks the product will not foam up and half to 3/4 of the bottle ends up in the garbage because it comes out pure liquid. I have used this for years and years and haven’t had this many issues before.

So frustrating!
The product itself is not bad. However, the container that it comes in often malfunctions. I have to throw away nearly 50% of every bottle of this mousse that I buy. It starts out fine, but then suddenly the mousse turns to pure liquid because the bottle is not foaming it up correctly. I'm just about done with this awful brand!

Amazing mousse, Awful new smell
It took me YEARS to find the perfect mousse. It's creamy but not like lotion and provides the perfect about of firmness. Unlike the common competition with foamy mousse that falls apart when you try to apply it. This Curl Ease was so perfect; then they added "rosehips" and now I can't take the smell! I'm so disappointed!! Please change the smell back to the original!!

It was my go to mousse for a long time. now it has a terrible smell and does not make anything for my hair, just a greasy mess... please return the old formula, i loved it so much :(

Come out defective
I have a couple of months wearing this product and I love it but this time around half way to the bottle it started to come out like water, what a disappointment

Mousse turned to liquid
This is the second time I've bought the product and after a couple of weeks it comes out as liquid not mousse - very disappointing (and messy!) It used to be a great product but I won't buy again.

Love this product but after using My new mousse for 3 days it turned to liquid. Very disappointing.

Why do you change a great product
I used this product for years. I loved it. It was great. Then came a package change and way, way too much fragrance and the product no longer works. Please change it back. I’m not sure why you would mess with a great product.

Great product. Poor quality control.
I’ve used this product for years. It’s always worked well for me til recently. The problem is that the last 2 times out of 3 times I’ve bought it, I got only about 1/4 of the way through the product and it’s out of gas. So instead of a nice mousse that is easy to distribute through my hair, I have a liquid mess. When it happened once, it’s an aberration. Twice, there is a quality control issue. Either gas is leaking out or not enough is in the can to start with.

confused why companies ruin / change a great prod
HI! I never use mousse but i bought the travel size once bec it was cheap and curious. It worked amazing and i kept buyin them for when i traveled (should of bought full sized too ) anyways Im now out of stock and 1 cant find travel or full sized anywhere in stores. And now online search only shows this weird purple bottle. Based on hundreds and hundreds of reviews there and here. .its hideous and a DIFFERENT FORMULA? For the love of Pete WHY? Why do you companies take a product that is loved by hundreds of thousands and think "oh if we change the formula itll be better" NO IT WONT. It NEVER IS (I can site many products that thought they were smart and did so ) .. I dont care what color you make the bottle (though that new dispenser is also crap per your PAYING customers). I am still going to hunt down the old version and buy up that persons stock but seriously CHANGE IT BACK! PS please DO NOT respond to me with the same stock answer you give everyone "sorry you arent pleased well talk to production development etc " Leave me/ us a REAL not vague reason why its changed and any chance yall will change it back.. Because trust me im sure youve found sales on this version will be way lower than the old version.. Boggles the mind . Thank you

I just bought this for the first time, I absolutely love it! Hair is so soft, no crunchiness when I let it air dry, very light weight, nice amount of volume when I blow dry and no frizz. Does it all!

I do not like the new smell and formula. It does not hold my curls like the old formula. And it doesn't control my frizz.
