[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I absolutely love this scent! I am not usually a "candy" scent lover, but it smelled just like a pack of gummies. That being said, I have never used the shave butter before - I usually use the Tree Hut shave oil. It was moisturizing and gave a great shave, but it also left a weird film feeling on my legs the way that some bar soaps do. I will definitely use the rest of this, but I am not sure if I would purchase it in this form once it's gone.

So bad. The product is so thin on the skin it doesn’t feel like there’s any shaving cream on at all. I don’t have sensitive skin, and this product gave me bumps after shaving. Also this product doesn’t smell like a gourmand vanilla I was expecting—it kind of stunk. All around I wouldn’t purchase again and threw it away after 2 uses.

However, its not all that hydrating/moisturizing. You also have to use more than you think for coverage on your legs, and even then it has a tendency to slide of causing you to waste more. It does smell pleasant though. I got a bottle of it complimentary in exchange for a review.

CONS: A little doesn't go a long way, so expect to use a lot more than you'd think. It smells like Flintstones vitamins for some reason, and is kind of nauseating to smell, which is right in your face when you do your under arms.

It's good, as most treehut products are! However, this is not great for shower use, even with rubbing it, it slides off and isn't as useful as treehut's shave oil. I'd recommend the oil more.

I'll be honest, I haven't purchased shaving cream or butter despite the fact that for the past 20 years, I have shaved almost everytime I shower. Since using this I am no longer experiencing dry itchy skin post shower/shaving. The shave butter creates a thin barrier, so it doesn't impede the shaving action. I appreciate that a lot. The fruity scent is powerful and will fill your bathroom with the delightful scents of sherbert. The scent brings me back to my youth, and makes me feel youthful and feminine.

Texture-wise, it's a soft whipped butter rather than a foaming cream. I did notice that I needed to use a bit more product than I typically would with a traditional shave cream to get the thicker cushion I prefer for razor glide. Once I applied enough, it created a smooth layer that helped my razor glide comfortably without irritation. After shaving, my legs felt noticeably soft and moisturized — almost like I'd already applied lotion. It feels great on my skin. it turns from a thick butter lotion to an oil when you rub it on your skin to shave. It doesn't lather like the instructions say but it works great. It hasn't irritated my skin at all and I have very sensitive skin. It didn't make me break out or have razor burn. I received this product for free in exchange for a review but I would buy this over and over again, definitely in this scent too because it's my favorite from tree hut so far. It's so good, i definitely recommend trying it out.
