Lid doesn’t lock close.
Lid doesn’t lock close. Saw other reviews mentioning the same thing. Bummer to buy a defective item right out of the gate, especially from a reputable brand. I would expect better.

Terribly designed but nice to look at
The lid doesn’t close properly so there’s a gap where my daughter’s legs get pinched under her entire weight. She was screaming and it took us a second to realize why. She’s now too terrified to use it…. and so are we.

Pinches Back of Leg
This potty has pinched my son’s leg twice which has negativily affected his potty training experience. The space between the top and bottom gives a bit (when locked into place, of course) which pinches skin when standing up from sitting. We are so bummed and definitely do not recommend.

Beautiful but beware of pinched skin :(
Aesthetically pleasing design but bummer user experience flaw. At first, a total hit. However, my toddlers has gotten her legs pinched where the top doesn’t meet flush with the bottom. She was screaming the first time and it took us a few seconds to realize her skin was completely pinched under her weight. She’s now terrified to sit on it :( pretty disappointing.

Ours is broken. Doesn’t lock
Ours is broken. Doesn’t lock into place. It’s a neat idea. Looks clean but wish it worked.

Very pleased with my purchase
I'm glad I found Lalo. Love products like this one that help you save money as these grow with your kids. And you don't have to buy multiple items but just one that serves all the purpose.

A few practical improvements could be made
the design is beautiful, compact, and versatile. The concept of having a floor potty, toilet trainer, and step stool all in one is great. However, after using it, I noticed a few design flaws that affect functionality. For boys, the splash guard isn't as effective as I had hoped. A more concave shape with additional room for liquid to drain downward would help prevent messes and improve usability. My other concern is the closure mechanism for the toilet seat. It doesn't work consistently and often requires an adult to press firmly and make sure it fully clicks into place. This can be frustrating when you're encouraging independence during potty training.

Wish it was better
I cannot get the lid to close no matter how hard I push. Great look but I guess too good to be true :(

Lid Will Not Stay Latched - Cannot Recommend
I like the design, but the lid does not stay closed. I press on the back and the lid closes but it pops right back open every time. It is a shame because my son did like the potty.

Want to like
Love the practicality and look. The lid spring is way too sensitive and pops open too easily making it hard to use. Returning for this reason.

Great little potty and a perfect size to tuck away when not in use. My 2 year old is rather large and seems ready to skip the first configuration. One thing I wish was a little more sturdy is the training seat when place on top of the toilet seat— there’s a bit of a wobble which makes my little one a bit uneasy at times. Absolutely love the stool and can see our family getting use out of that long after potty training is accomplished!

Odd shape doesn't stay latched
My son hates this potty. The position of the hole is in an awkward spot, he's not even 2 yet but this is way too small for him. Maybe smaller children will have better luck with the shape. The thing I can't forgive is that it refuses to stay latched. the weight of my son triggers the mechanism to pop open the lid and it's constantly needing to get put down. I think this will end up an expensive step stool for us unfortunately, I had high hopes I love Lalo products and have many but this one is a miss for my son at least.

already toddler approved
The ease of lifting the lid to remove the bowl is amazing, even if our Son rather take out the (clean) bowl and spin it on the ground than sit on the potty. We are in the early stages of introduction so we will see how he takes to it, been 3 days! He is almost 2 so pretty young still, but we want to form healthy and no-stress potty training into his life ahead of time. Great color too, Sage, so it's not gender specific. Huge plus in my book!

Perfect for back of the car
I purchased one and was sent a second bc the lid was defective. The second one needs to be pushed down several times for it to close, so it had a different problem.

No flat bottom on pee catcher. Just an ok potty
This chair is fine. Others are better. As other reviewers stated, I had some trouble with the locking lid in the beginning, and wondered why Lalo didn’t include instructions, but also, why the heck does a potty chair need instructions??? The splash guard works great for my son, in fact, it’s probably the best one we have in the house (we currently have four brands of potty chair in the house…) My primary complaint: the potty catcher does not have a flat bottom. If you set it down anywhere before emptying it, you risk the contents spilling out. This seems like a huge oversight to me! Also, Lalo appears to be hiding critical reviews from its website, because I posted there, confirmed my email address, and my review has yet to display.

Buyer Beware: Bowl Lacks Flat Bottom
The pros: the seat fits my toddler well, and the splashguard design helps keep his pee in the potty. The con: the bowl doesn’t have a flat bottom! Once you remove the bowl with the urine or feces, you can’t set it down anywhere without risking it wobbling over. I never write reviews, but this feels like a serious oversight from a company designing products to support childhood.
