Best Car Seat I’ve Had!
This is the 3rd car seat I have had and is by FAR the best. I love it to keep my toddler rear facing as long as possible. It’s the one that has been most comfortable for her as well. It’s easy to install and tighten the harness. So glad I finally got a car seat that checks all the boxes.

Very happy with this car seat
Our infant is 9 months and very tall! She loves this car seat - we had the infant chicco one before and it was nice that it fit into our stroller, but if we were to do it again we would buy this one off the bat. Despite with other reviews say we found the set up in the car to be very easy, and I think the metal clasp is much easier to use than a traditional one. We also appreciate the extra leg room for her long legs!

Love this car seat. Fits so secure in my SUV. No other brand I trust for my little guy.

Safety issues with the top clip
Recieved this as a replacement to the older version I had after being in a car accident. The magnetic clip is terrible. I've had it one month and it keeps sticking when you push the top and bottom buttons together to clip it. The buttons take awhile to become unstuck causing 10 minute+ delays on going anywhere. I would like a response from Chicco on a resolution for this as well. It's an expensive carseat to be having this many safety issues one month in.

Horrible install
Materials, cup holders, aesthetic 10/10. Install is literally 2/10. I have a chevy suburban and can barely get this in my vehicle correctly. The recline is off and the bubble never stays in place. The latch system isn’t easy to use and only goes to 40lbs the rear facing seat belt install is next to impossible and none feel as snug as my Nuna RAVA. I purchased a chicco booster and was SO impressed I bought this for our newborn since I do a convertible from day 1 and I hate to say but I wish I just kept using my older sons Nuna and probably will if they’ll allow return. With how much easy install technology is out there you’d think it’s a no brainer but functionality took a back seat with this. If you drive a vehicle with rear entertainment it will absolutely not fit.

From NextFit Zip Max to OneFit Max - a toddler parent perspective - Embracing Change
Overall really enjoy the carseat (4.5/5 stars) and feel it provides great protection for my little one(s)! New to us model as our older child has the previous (closest-related option) model of the Chicco NextFit Zip Max which I would give a 5/5 stars. My only two qualms I have encountered or prefer differently to what is available on this model is the lack of a zipper removal option for cleaning the cover (just makes it easier and wish it was an option on this model as it was on the previous one we bought) and the magnetic chest harness securing mechanism which is new to us. The magnetic securement works great, and I will say, it's nice to just be able to hover and click-in - however, I really do not like the bulkiness of the chest plate and how it adds a slight layer of difficulty when tightening the harness straps. It is notably more inconvenient than the traditional clip in chest securement straps, and though I have not reviewed the data on it - it doesn't overtly appear as though it would provide some increased level of safety that the standard clip did not provide - in which case, I'd prefer the previous version. I do see how with an older child this magnetic clip could be a big plus as it is very easy for an older child to put together and self release if needed - but in my stage of kids 3 and under, not my fave - though we did buy for the long term, so maybe I'll feel differently in a couple years! Things that I do want to point out that I do really like about the car seat include the fabric (which is very nice quality, soft, and thus far easy to maintain) and the labeling all over the carseat (almost seems a little much when you first open it - but makes quick reference points/notes very easily accessible when checking back in every so often to make sure installed correctly and adjusted as your child grows). I will say, for budget purposes (aka twins - the more carseats, the pricier lol) we decided to go with the non-revolving option for a convertible carseat. With the amount of front to back space this does take up in rear facing position (not more than the NextFit did...but now having 3 rear facing carseats in the car) I think that having that rotational option to allow for more 3rd row accessibility would/could be worth the investment. Just my thoughts :)

Like all car seats, ridiculously hard to install correctly
Great car seat, but like all car seats, it is ridiculously hard to install correctly, and I would guess most are not. The latches are great, but those are not the “preferred” method according to the manual, and can’t be used for a 40+ lb. child. The tether strap can be frustratingly difficult to lengthen and tighten in-place and should be redesigned. Have each design engineer swap a car seat between two cars for a week and they will understand perfectly. The manual should be edited for clarity, leaving out the fancy trademarked names for different seat components.

Sturdy and durable, but the harness release button and strap isn’t easily accessible
I just bought this car seat and although it seems very sturdy and durable I wish the seat fabric fit snuggly around the Harness Release Button and the Harness Adjustment Strap, the strap slips below the fabric and it can be very difficult to pull it out. If I had noticed that in the pictures before I purchased I would’ve chosen the OneFit instead

Very comfortable and safe
We bought this car seat to replace an old seat that was falling apart. Our son has chronic kidney disease and needs a wide seat due to his medical equipment. After looking at many car seats, we found this one to be by far the most comfortable and the one that adapts to his needs without compromising safety or breaking the bank. We are happy with our purchase and so is our boy.

Tried and true ! Best car seat out there
I love this car seat! I have kids aging from 12-1 year. I have used this car seat over the last 12 years and I can just tell you this car seat is the best! The newest model I’m in love with as the ease of the car seat is amazing!

Fantastic car seat!
Incredibly easy to install and my 1 year old fits so well and looks so comfortable. We had the KeyFit 35 before getting this one, so I knew I loved Chicco.

Happy mama!
Great convertible seat! I had the original OneFit and loved it so much I was excited to try this new version. Love the upgraded harness pockets and buckle that help loading in the child easily. I was especially impressed with the thickness of the padding as my child loves a plushy comfy seat (we have zip air versions of their other Chicco seats) and the sleekness of the style.

Love it, just really big!
Love this car seat! Only downside is that it is really big! Almost didn’t fit in my husband’s ford explorer. The front passenger seat has to be pulled forward all the way. I’m glad we found this out before purchasing one for my car as well. Unfortunately, my car is smaller so I will have to buy something else. But overall, installation was easy, fabric is soft, and it looks so comfy!

THE BEST convertible car seat on the market!
Great convertible car seat! As someone who went from CYBEX to Chicco, the seat has premium quality material, easy installation, and A+ safety. Checked all our boxes at a fraction of the cost. We thought it would be challenging getting our 6 month old in and out- no hassle at all. Side note chubby baby approved.

Safe and Reliable
I got this car seat with my nephew in mind and it has made traveling with him a breeze. The installation was easy and it isn’t a pain to move from car to car. I appreciate that I will not have to worry about buying a new seat as he grows. I’ve already had to remove the fabric to clean and it was super easy. This is not my first Chicco product and certainly will not be my last.

Great, versatile, design!
Such a versatile car seat! We love the Onefit Max design and are thrilled that we will get many years of use out of this as it converts from a car seat to a booster. Perfect to grow with your child! As always, the Cleartex fabric is safe, durable, and stylish.

Easy installation
Installation is always the worst part about car seats, but Chicco made this one a breeze. It must be comfortable because my son falls asleep within the first few minutes of the drive.
