egglife Roasted Garlic Power Pasta - 9oz

I love these! I think some of the negative reviews are coming from people expecting this to taste exactly like pasta, when that’s really not the point. It’s made from eggs, and for what it is, it’s a great pasta alternative. The flavor is good, and the texture is exactly what I expected: kind of a foamy egg white consistency. Again… it’s eggs! If you go into it expecting traditional pasta, you’ll probably be disappointed. But if you’re looking for a lighter or higher-protein alternative, these are really enjoyable.

Usually low-carb pasta can have a tough texture, but this had more the texture of frsh pasta, which was so pleasant. I also love that their products are low carb and high protein to help me achieve my health goals. I really plan to buy this as my new go-to pasta brand!

We used ground turkey, pasta sauce, & added in a little regular angel hair spaghetti for the ones that do not need the healthier, low carb version. We all loved it but texture was an issue for a couple of the family.

Others have described the texture as gritty and unpleasant, I disagree. Knowing that these noodles are not your typical gluten based noodles, but are egg based, I went into this with the expectation of a different texture and taste profile. I followed the stovetop preparation instructions and prepared them as directed. Chicken, alfredo sauce and black pepper were added to complete the dish and I had a pleasant and filling lunch. On top of finding them enjoyable, I also appreciated that they were low carb (4g) as well as high protein (19g), quite a bit healthier than more traditional pasta noodles. They were also quick and easy to prepare. I'd recommend these to someone who is trying to eat healthier, avoiding gluten or on a keto diet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the fact that this is a healthier option than pasta with few ingredients; however, I could not tolerate the taste enough to order this again. I tried the garlic version because I love garlic and thought that it would complement any sauce I tried to use. I think this is what ruined it for me. The smell and taste of the garlic flavor was very off-putting, and it overpowered the bolognese sauce that I cooked for hours on the stovetop. I'm not sure how that's even possible because bolognese is a pretty strong sauce. The texture was fine — you know it's not real pasta, so that didn't bother me. My dad likened it to an omelette that was cut into strips. I just really couldn't get over the taste. I'd be willing to try the non-garlic, original version, but only if I didn't have to pay for it. Mostly because I didn't like the garlic version, but even if I did, this would be a hard sell for me for the price. My father convinced me to give it two stars instead of one, but I was reluctant. I suppose it was nice that it's fully cooked and didn't require much work aside from the sauce I made.

I usually like garlic but I did not like the garlic taste on these noodles. Maybe the reg ones will taste better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the roasted garlic pasta flavor. I was intrigued.. I like that they are high in protein, not a lot of ingredients, & dairy free. For the first time I think the saving size is enough & really filling. The noodles are light & fluffy. I did the preferred method in the pan vs microwave. Either cooking method though is convenient and fast, perfect for when you want a quick meal. The flavor & smell was a little off putting .. texture wasn't too bad. I think with the right recipe they can be good but Im not sure I can see myself wanting to get these for a meal, especially because they are on the pricer side.
