  • A: The general recipe is 1 cup water to 1 cup mix. But, to get maximum protein you have an alternate recipe to substitute milk and an egg in place of water. I break the egg into the measuring cup then add milk until it reaches 1 cup. That way you don't accidentally make it too thin.

    The almond poppy seed has good flavor but if you follow the recipe for the pancakes you get a very think pancake that's doughy in the center. I tried to use up the mix and make th cookie recipe on the box. First off it does not make 24 cookies unless you are making them for Barbie and the cookies don't flatten. Not impressed with Kodak recipe makers or the outrageous price for the mix.

    Good but no blueberries

    There’s hardly any blueberries in the mix. The pancakes turn out good though, taste like regular and easy to make. I would suggest adding a bit more liquid than the box suggests though. Might buy the brand again, but would just go with a plain mix since the blueberry isn’t really worth it.

I sampled the Kodiak Power Cakes Flapjack & Waffle Mix in the blueberry flavor, and it did not disappoint. Wholesome quality ingredients, with the subtle taste of blueberries. I served this, for breakfast, 3 days in a row. My flapjacks were golden brown to perfection and my family and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would definitely keep this stocked in my pantry.

I love that this product is easy to find at your local store, is a great value for the amount that you get, the texture is really enjoyable. I love that they keep it more natural, not a lot of additives, but still a really good shelf-life, even though we ate the whole box quickly, because is just so good. They are also very filling from the protein. I highly recommend anyone to try this product if you are looking for a healthier alternative.
