Odor with memory foam can happen sometimes and usually fades within 24–48 hours after opening, though in some cases it may take a bit longer, up to about a week. There are no harmful chemicals used on the foam, but some people are more sensitive to the initial off-gassing. You can continue to let the topper air out in a well-ventilated room if possible. If the odor does not improve and you decide you’d prefer a refund or a replacement, please, contact our support team, following the contacts below. A: Hello, Thanks for your question! What you’re seeing is totally normal. Our toppers are compressed and folded for shipping, so they can take up to 24 hours to fully expand once unpacked. Any temporary bumps or waves usually smooth out on their own as the foam decompresses. To help it recover faster, lay the topper flat in a warm, well-ventilated room and gently smooth it out by hand.
