Q: How many loaves can be made with this and is this a starter that if fed I could have for years to make bread for years

  • A: You need to feed it, as long as it's properly fed it can last for years. They offer support they will answer all your questions. If you're a newbie, I suggest you also get their kit with the jar.

Does not work at all!

Never became active. Followed poor instructions explicitly and nothing happened except me starting a new starter from scratch.

The Boss!

Amazing starter! I got a starter from my grandpa that was over 100 years old that used for years with success. I heard so much about San Francisco sourdough, so when I saw it I knew I had to try it. I got it in a jar with a bubble mailer, fed it twice and got it active quite fast considering the travel time. I made the yummiest pancakes that I ever had with this starter discard, and the bread came out perfect, the taste and texure. I always had this dream about opening a micro sourdough bakery, this starter is finally giving me the confidnce! I named her The Boss!
