Artificial flavoring ruins the taste

Artificial Blueberry flavor is nasty and ruins the taste. You need to make the mix without the artificial stuff. The real blueberries are all you need to make a great muffin. I will not buy it again. Maybe non of your mixes if you add artificial flavors.

Fails when baked in a loaf pan

I've tried this product twice according to package directions for a loaf-pan cake. Both times it raised (very) high in the oven then sank squat afterward. When cut, saw that the bottom third was dense and not fully cooked.

We're so sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy our Krusteaz Wild Blueberry Muffin Mix, and appreciate your letting us know. Based on your description, it sounds like there may have been some issues with the batter -- it may have either been mixed too long or too forcefully (say, with an electric beater) or it may have had too much liquid. Did you happen to remember to drain the blueberries before adding them to the batter? We'd like to gather more information how you made the product and about the specific box you purchased, so that we may further assist you and also report it to our Quality Assurance team. Please email baking@krusteaz.com, and our Consumer Relations team would be happy to assist you.
Bad changes to product

They modified recipe from 1/2 cup oil to 2/3 cup oil. They must have changed more. The batter is much thinner, the tops don't get brown but are a grey color after baking, and they taste terrible. Have been my favorite for years, but won't buy again! Used 2 boxes with 2 left in pantry. They are so bad, I will probably throw them out!

These muffins are my entire families favorite! High quality ingredients that make these fool proof and always light and fluffy and full of flavor. I make these several times a month and when on sale I always stock up because the value for the quality can’t be beat by other boxed muffin brands. So far every product from this brand has been a home run!
Recipe question

Why does one box say 1/2 cup oil (which was the usual) and another box said 2/3 cup. Their expiration dates were close to each other in 2025.
Misleading nutrition info

Love the muffins. But! To not provide nutrition facts "As Prepared" is little more than lying by omission. Adding in the eggs and oil, I calculate 518 calories per serving (2 muffins), not 270 as stated on the carton

Why would anyone want blueberry muffins without the streusel topping on top? That’s just like blueberry quick bread and it’s a disappointing let down. I can’t believe this has so many good reviews.

Krusteaz Wild Blueberry mix is incredibly tasty and simple to prepare.Just follow the instructions on the package, I like to throw in 2 bananas. always seem to have ripe bananas on hand, so might as well use them up. I've tested out other brands of mixes and pouches, but none of them can beat Krusteaz. Honestly, these muffins look and taste homemade. My colleagues are big fans of them!

I haven’t bought this product in a long time. Something changed, batter is thicker not as smooth and the taste is not the same. What changed have you made to the original ingredients Krusteaz?

We’ve been using this recipe for years and they’ve changed the recipe. It’s now runny and the muffins come out with a divot. It seems as if they’ve reduced the dry ingredients in the box but the wet ingredients stayed the same, very disappointing.

We're so sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy our Krusteaz Wild Blueberry Muffin Mix, and appreciate your letting us know. Based on your description, it sounds like the can of blueberries may not have been drained before you added it to the bowl to incorporate. Too much liquid in a batter can cause the muffin to collapse during or after baking. (Not draining the blueberries may also result in your muffins being an interesting blue/grey color!) We'll pass your feedback on to our R&D team. Please email baking@krusteaz.com if you have any additional questions, and our Consumer Relations team would be happy to assist you.

I took a chance after reading a lot of reviews, and I’m not disappointed! These were a nice fluffy muffin. Good flavor and the canned berries were a nice addition in place of the dried ones. I added a cup of fresh blueberries I had on hand and it was perfect. My only complaint is they are a bit sweet for a muffin, they’re more sweet like cupcakes but still good! If the company would cut back by 1/3 on the sugar they’d be perfect.
Delicious!

Not the best muffin you’ve ever had, but they’re so simple and great for box homemade. Best tip is to sub milk for water, butter for oil, and add an extra egg.
