Beautiful new look in a box
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I posted before and after photos. I occasionally dye my hair blonde but wanted to go back to my natural roots of light brown. This product by L'Oréal did an awesome job of it! My hair took to the dye after leaving it in for about 25 minutes. It didn't have a chemical smell and made my frizzy hair feel so soft. The color was light ash brown. So simple to mix and was able to fully cover my whole head if hair it also did a super job if covering my gray hair. I definitely recommend this product if you want to have a new look. Excellence by L'Oréal is excellent.

Consistent results
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellence Crème Hair Color is a great option for home hair dye. I’ve been coloring my hair for more than 30 years and have used just about every available brand. I like the Excellence products because they are conditioning, smell nice and are consistent with the color results. The thicker formula is nice as it doesn’t drip or run down my back or onto my shoulders as it’s developing. It rinses out fairly easily with the included conditioning treatment. Although I really like this product, I didn’t give it the full 5 stars because it doesn’t cover gray 100%; mostly, but not completely. I would and have recommended this product to others. *I received this product in exchange for my honest opinion.

I would recommend using a barrier gel because this will kind of stain your skin. I love the color and my hair does look shiner.

Hesitate to repurchase.
Very disappointed. I've been using Superior Preference #7 Dark Blond for many years. This time I noticed #2 of the product (in a dark bottle) was liquid rather than a creamy substance to be added to #1. There was no shampoo in the box. The end result was a light brown. I noticed the box read "new and improved". The color is definitely light brown, not dark blonde. Hopefully Loreal will test this product and correct the color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the packaging of this hair dye. I like how the top screws off of the developer and you don’t have to cut it off like other brands. It doesn’t have a strong smell, so that’s great. I love that there is shampoo and conditioner that comes with it to use are dying my hair. It didn’t cover all of my grays though.

It is a natural looking color with excellent gray coverage. The color is long lasting with salon like results at an affordable price. It is very thick, easy to apply, and its non drip. The "triple protection" includes a protective serum, a color creme, and conditioner. It left my hair feeling very healthy and shiny. I would definitely recommend trying it. I love it!

The corner box of my product was dented. Fortunately that's all because the box was crushed on both ends. Product should have had some type of packing material to protect it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I know you cannot tell in the before photo about how much grey hair there is but it was enough to make me self conscious. This black was easy to mix and use evenly throughout my thick and long hair even with me doing a peek-a-boo style. The shampoo and conditioner was enough to wash and condition my hair after the clear rinse. Unfortunately my hair has frizzed out and I cannot get it smooth without product which I dislike using. I wonder if it is the hair color or the different shampoo than I am use to using? My hair is still soft and vibrant here days later. I hope this lasts a while as I love the color.

Worked well for gray coverage, but the color tone
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was honestly a bit disappointed with this hair color. While the application was easy and the scent wasn’t overpowering. The final tone leaned more orange/brassy than I had expected on the positive side, it did a great job covering my gray/white hair and I didn’t notice my hair feeling dry, looking dull, or frizzy afterward. My hair still felt soft and healthy. I was hoping for a more blended, natural, blonde result, and unfortunately, the brassiness just isn’t it. I think the shade simply isn’t the best match for my hair tone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I loved about this hair color was that it came with a hyaluronic shampoo for after rinsing. It really left my hair feeling soft. The tube is small but it is thick and lathers so well I think I could have used it twice. The hair color has a fairly strong smell but not the worst I’ve used. I used dark brown and it is definitely dark, almost black. I think it’ll likely fade a bit. The bottle was quite small, one box only worked for my roots, I would definitely buy two or three for my whole head. It also comes with a comb nozzle if you want to use that which I thought was cool.
