Being Italian, it is very hard to find a tomato sauce I enjoy. I grew up eating homemade sauce often. As a mom of four, this is the best sauce I have come across that tastes most like homemade! It's easy to use and perfectly seasoned.

I am a professional chef with 45 years experience. I don't claim to know more than anybody else but for the record I never liked tomato sauce homemade or jar. Well that's changed after I tested RAOS tomato basil. The sauce has the right balance of spices, salt and natural sweetness. The other tomato sauces I tried before all had THAT taste/flavor if you know what I mean. Sure it's pricier than other tomato sauces but you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. I don't have to add any spices to it it's ready to go. I also use it if I make a beef stew, a soup or a chili.

All the red sauces are a 10. Love that there's no sugar added! I like to keep a supply. Be careful ordering a dozen like me, 3 were popped open. They wrapped the jars, but box was heavy. Looked like it was dropped. Will shop in store. I'm tired of popped jars and dented cans.

I hate how much I love this sauce because it's so expensive. However, I can no longer justify spending money on any other sauces as none come close to as good as Rao's. I prefer the tomato basil over the plain marinara.

This tomato sauce is the perfect addition to my pasta meals. It goes well with spaghetti, lasagna and so much more! The flavor is great. The basil isn’t too strong but still noticeable. There’s also some chucks of small tomatoes mixed in the sauce.
