I wait every year for this seasonal cake mix and always grab a couple in the fall. I like to add lots of pumpkin pie spice and vanilla to it as well as sour cream and milk. Usually I frost with cream cheese frosting or none at all. The taste isn't overwhelming but it is a nice intro to all the fall goodies to come.

Zero pumpkin flavor
This does taste good. It bakes up high and moist BUT if u bought it for pumpkin flavor u wont get that . My kids didn’t even no what flavor cake it was . When I took my first bite I was lik I have no idea what flavor this is but it’s soft and moist and good with icing . U just taste no vanilla or chocolate or lemon or pumpkin or any flavor .. u just feel lik ur eating a good non flavored cake with icing .while its good I wouldn’t recommending it if u wanted a pumpkin flavored cake . But if u just wanted a soft moist no flavor cake this would absolutely be perfect

Fake pumpkin vanilla cake mix
I would give this no stars if I could. It has no pumpkin in it at all. I made one bach the way the box told me to. The next batch I baked. I Put in 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree instead of apple sauce or oil. Lastly put 1-2 tsp of your own pumpkin spice.

Absolutely no pumpkin, or any other flavor whatsoever. Generic cake. Same goes for the cream cheese icing- just sugar. Pillsbury should be sued for false advertising!

Absolutely not pumpkin cake. It is not pumpkin colored, and doesn’t taste like pumpkin or spice, even. It’s a moist cake that tastes good, but don’t expect it to be the festive fall dessert you’re craving unless you add a can of pumpkin puree to the mix, too.

No pumpkin in the mix!
All the cake was moist and had a slightly cinnamon taste; it was definitely not pumpkin! Looking more closely at the ingredients I saw that there isn't any pumpkin in the list! It's okay as a cake but if you want pumpkin, don't get this!
