Q: Am I able to use these to hang frames that are less than 5 lbs, but the dimensions are 16 x 20?

Q: If I used 2 of these side by side, would it hold a frame up to 10 pounds?

A: Hello - Thank you for asking. We do not recommend using more than one hook per item. If you do, it is important to note that when more than one hook is used to hold an item, you will need to make sure that the weight is evenly distributed between the hooks. The total weight capacity remains the same as one hook. It would not double the weight support. For a frame that weights 10 lbs and is less than 24"x36" in size, we would recommend using our Large Picture Hanging Strips, 17206 instead. They sit on tables, etc and while they are pretty, they really need to be hung. These hooks hold my 20x30 pictures without a problem. I’ve never had a 3M failure. I received the hanger in exchange for an honest review.

So, I took down an existing picture and used the Pitcher Hanger on it and tried it out on the wall. And, it worked very well.

I found it easy to use for a sawtooth style frame. The metal hangar is heavy duty - my frame was not 5 lbs but I don't doubt this hangar could handle up to 5 lbs. It was easy to apply the adhesive strips. What I struggled with was knowing where to place the hangar to the wall - I think a template should be included to assist with that. The package includes stability strips if needed.

Hubby gets mad at me when I put holes in the wall ,so these 3M picture hangers are a blessing. This damage-free hanging picture hanger is very easy to use, It holds up to 5 lb. Just make sure to follow directions on the back of the product so you don't damage your walls.

The product includes a hanger and the strips needed to adhere it, so you do have to get your own hardware for the picture itself and then you can attach it to this and when you follow the directions on the back of the box, it can hold a lighter weight frame . The hanger itself is reusable which is a huge plus for saving money. It’s good quality and not that hard to use.

!!YOU NEED TO LET THE GLUE ADHERE TO THE WALL FOR AN HOUR BEFORE HANGING!! I promise from my experience doing that with all command products makes it actually work. I absolutely love these and will be buying more !
