Q: Can they be used on textured walls? Cause regular command strips you cannot.

A: Thank you for asking. When using Command Hooks to hang curtains rods it is important to note that when more than one hook is used to hold an item, make sure that the weight is evenly distributed between the hooks. The hooks need to be level when holding rods. When more than one hook is used to hold an item, the total weight capacity remains the same as one hook. Using with rod diameter less than 5/8", length less than 48", and finial greater than 3/4". In use, slide curtain across. Do not pull down. i used two of these to temporarily hang a curtain rod and light curtains for one night, and it fell off the wall within 10 minutes. the rod and curtains combined are not anywhere near 20 pounds, yet each hook is advertised to hold 10 pounds. waste of my money, i wish i could get a refund but one of the hooks broke

I used this hook for a small hanging ivy plant. I followed all instructions. It came off the wall within 4 days. Luckily, the items it fell on were not broken. I do NOT recommend this hook. My plant only weighs 3 pounds.

I normally love command strips but it seems like they must of changed their recipe or how they make their products. I tried five different hooks, on different parts of my wall, and with several different sticky backs and every one fell down. And it wasn’t because it was too much weight. I am so sadden by this and maybe I just got a bad batch?

I used to rely on Command hooks regularly. To be sure there were no problems, I used both hooks to hang an item that weighed less than 5 pounds. After 2 months they fell off the wall.
