Q: Am I able to use these to hang frames that are less than 5 lbs, but the dimensions are 16 x 20?

Q: If I used 2 of these side by side, would it hold a frame up to 10 pounds?

A: Hello - Thank you for asking. We do not recommend using more than one hook per item. If you do, it is important to note that when more than one hook is used to hold an item, you will need to make sure that the weight is evenly distributed between the hooks. The total weight capacity remains the same as one hook. It would not double the weight support. For a frame that weights 10 lbs and is less than 24"x36" in size, we would recommend using our Large Picture Hanging Strips, 17206 instead. Right after receiving the picture, I received the Command Strip Universal picture hanger to use and review. Years ago, I vowed no more holes in the wall due to hanging pictures. Because I am very familiar with this product it has become my go-to product. I never had any issues with this product, and I recommend it to my family and friends as well. It is easy to use and last for years.

Easily attached to your vertical wall, by peeling protective tape, off the 1st sticky surface side, & pressing it onto the back of the hanger. Then, peel the protective tape off of the remaining side that will be stuck to your wall. Position & press the hanger onto its permanent wall location, & wait an hour for the adhesive to set, after which it will be ready to receive your decor. Voila! You've done it!

This picture hanger is fine, but I would probably reach for a different Command product for hanging a picture. I think the appeal is that it’s pretty flush to the wall, so it won’t make your pictures lean forward when you hang them. For me, it felt like more steps to hang a photo with this than necessary. I would personally use a Command hook or strip over this hanger. I do appreciate that it comes with stabilizer strips to add to the bottom half of your frames. That’s a thoughtful touch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took me a minute- make sure you read the instructions. The long piece goes under the metal piece. You put it on the wall and let it sit for an hour. Then you put two of the small white Velcro pieces together, sticking it to your frame, peel the back, and push your picture against the wall. Be sure you know exactly where to push. While you can adjust after you won’t have tons of wiggle room unless you placed them further in the frame. The small white pieces keeps the picture stable and straight. I like that when I vacuum or walk by it doesn’t tilt or fly off.

This one was a bit finicky for me to use but I think it probably because of the small tab on the frame I hung with it. Followed the directions on the packaging and waited a bit more than the 1 hour required. I struggled with the small triangular hanging tab on my frame. I used this in my son’s dorm room because no nails! Yay for command hooks!

I liked that I didn't have to use a nail in my wall and the the 3M hanger went up with no problems. When i was time to hang the picture frame I had a hard time getting it on the hook. I really liked that there was sticky stuff to hold the picture to the wall, but after trying to hang it on the hook, the sticky stuff stuck to the wall and then the picture wasn't straight. My picture is hanging on the wall but not exactly straight. Still not sure how I really feel about this product.
