Q: Why is the film on some of the soups not pull off with the tab? Some soups requires a knife to remove and is gets so messsy.

A: Hi Bev, thank you for your feedback. We hear you regarding the film seal under the lid being too difficult to open simply by pulling on the film. We do use a peel-able film. FDA regulations require us to cook and fill the product at 180℉ minimum. The heat from the product creates lots of pressure under the sealed film. Although it’s a peel-able film, under these conditions, it can be a fine line between keeping the film peel-able and completely welding the film to the rim of the cup. We conduct seal tests in line and monitor the sealing temperature and dwell times throughout the filling process. Food safety is a priority for us, so we need to ensure a tight seal. We'll share your feedback with our team and keep monitoring the process.

A: Hi and thank you for your question. There is a use-by-date on the bottom of the soup. The soup needs to be consumed by the use-by-date. If you don't think you will eat it before then, you can freeze the soup. Just make sure that the soup is put in the freezer by the use-by-date. Once the soup is frozen, it can stay in the freezer for up to 9 months. When you are ready to consume the soup, thaw the soup in the fridge for 24-36 hours before heating. The thawed, unopened soup should be consumed within 3 days of thawing. Please know that chowders, bisques, and soups where cream, butter, or cheese are the primary ingredients will have a grainy texture. The grainy texture does not mean the soup has spoiled or curdled. The texture is the result of the cook/refrigerate/freeze/thaw/heat cycle that the soup experiences. That cycle causes the components to break down and not hold together as well as they would after the normal cook/refrigerate/heat cycle. Hope this helps and I hope you have a great day!

This is the best broccoli and cheese soup from the grocery store and taste just like ordering it from the restaurant. Saves time for me not having to make it myself. I’ve been back a few times to purchase it; it’s very good. Nice to put into a personal bread bowl as a meal at home.
