The reviews highlight a significant inconsistency in the quality of these cannellini beans, with many guests expressing disappointment over hard and undercooked beans that ruin their recipes. However, some guests appreciate the organic nature and low sodium content, finding them suitable for various dishes like soups and salads. The flavor is generally well-received, but the texture issues have led to a decline in satisfaction for many long-time users.

inconsistent texture.
I love cannellini beans, and I normally don't buy this brand and I won't again. just opened 2 cans for my recipe tonight. one was rock hard, about three quarters full, and the liquid poured out like water. the other can was full up, beans swollen and over soft, breaking as a gently rinsed them.

Hard, inedible
Been buying these for 5 years for my bean loving daughter—these used to be a super easy food item that (while soft directly from the can), I would simply heat for a minute in the microwave, rinse thoroughly, and serve plain or with a bit of butter. Now, with the latest cans I’ve received with an expiration of 10/2028, no matter how long I microwave or how long I boil, these beans remain super hard and inedible, as many other recent reviewers have concurred. What once was my go-to are noe unfortunately a hard pass.

Long Time Buyer- Very disheartened.
Shrinkflation and NO quality control. I’ve bought G&G organic canned beans for YEARS and recently they have become and absolute WASTE of our hard earned money! Cans are only 2/3 full if you are lucky and super watery. Nothing like they used to be and yet the can still reads “15 oz” Will things ever go back to normal? Will corporations ever stop stripping us of EVERYTHING we have and giving us nonsense in return???? Buy bagged beans and don’t waste your money!!

Almost Empty Can
What the heck? There was like 1/4 of a can. I’m very confused. I wish I would have been able to tell, but it had a bunch of water in it. Dumb. How does this happen? I see that it happened to other people. I don’t live near the store either and rarely go so I’m not returning them. They had a better texture than anyone else seemed to have. So, at least there is that. I attached a photo of another brand’s can.

Good flavor
While these were a little “harder” than I had anticipated they had a great mild nutty cannellini flavor. The beans were as fresh as canned beans can be. The nutrition is great — much better bang for the buck than eating stuff like pasta. I like that they’re organic. The cans opened without issues. I used these as the base for “pizza beans.” I do wish they were cooked a little softer but I won’t deduct stars since this is a personal taste.

not cooked, hard beans
The bean out of the can were hard! They hardly cooked them at all. After an hour on the stove they were still not fully cooked. How stupid does an employee have to be to not cook the beans?

Half full cans
Bought 3 cans, they were only about filled half way. They cooked well glad I bought more than recipe required.

Undercooked and Inedible Beans
I’ve been buying these beans for my family for years and they’ve been delicious in soups, etc. The last several cans have been terrible - severely undercooked and did not soften as other reviewers have said. Target, you need to fix this issue or stop selling these beans.

Really undercooked and hard recently. I tried pressure cooking a can and they didn’t get soft. Annoying and wasteful!

Beans are hard and skin like plastic!
I've bought many different brands of these white beans before and these are awful! I added them to my homemade soup and simmered them all day and they were still a little hard but the skins of the beans were thick and tasted like plastic! I am returning the other cans I bought at Target. Never again!

Uncooked beans are toxic
These beans are hard. It’s unclear if they have truly been cooked. Cannelini beans are toxic if not cooked, and the instructions on the can indicate they are precooked. Target needs to report this to the FDA and the product needs to be recalled. Even if they don’t have toxins or someone cooks it long enough, clearly something went wrong in the manufacturing process/quality control.

Skip these - you are better off buying soaker beans
I bought 2 cans of these beans and they were still hard when Iade dinner. I ended up have to use a pressure cooker to soften then up. For canned ready to eat beans I shouldn't need 20 minutes in a pressure cooker to eat them. I'd give these less than a 1 star if that was possible.

Terrible texture, hard and crunchy even after cooking.
