Strange flavor and dry
We love beans in our family but we have sworn off these. They have a strange and arrificial flavor profile as well as being very dry; requiring added liquid to make them usable.

Black beans--really?
The color looked like refried pinto beans and not black beans. Also, the beans weren't fully blended and there were lots of whole beans in the can. In addition, I didn't taste any lime; I was expecting it to have more of a citrus tang. Terrible.

Stick with the name brand on this one
Like a previous reviewer, the lime flavor sucked me in. Not sure where the lime flavor is, but it’s not here. The consistency was very off putting as well. Clumpy and chunky when I finally got it out of the can. Even after warming it up, I couldn’t mix it together.

Wish I would’ve just went with the name brand, but the “with lime” suckered me. I could tell when it came out of the can they would not be even worthwhile. The beans slid out like canned dog food. Normally I have to get a spoon and scoop the beans out but not with this brand! It also doesn’t look like beans once cooked. The consistency is if boxes mash potatoes. Ot also doesn’t taste like beans! It’s disgusting! Just buy the name brand, a lime, and cilantro. Sprinkle cumin and you’ll be good.

This is a wonderful change up from traditional refried beans. Don't let the odd color throw you off, they are delicious! Hearty black bean flavor with just a hint of lime. They are great as a side, topping, dip, filling, so much flavor.
