Cascade automatic dishwasher gel is fantastic. It cleans dishes very well, and has a nice fresh scent. It is inexpensive, and is the only brand I use for nice clean dishes.

I have been using Cascade Complete Fresh Scent because I can’t find the Cascade original in my area. This stuff hasn’t been getting the insides of the coffee cups clean. The scent is overwhelming! It’s terrible! Any plastics that are in the dishwasher reek of the detergent smell. I switched from the liquid to the action packs thinking maybe they wouldn’t smell so strongly, even though it’s significantly more expensive. The smell is just as strong. I will find something else to switch to and might just toss your products.

Works as expected. Overall, it cleans well and reduces spotting. I prefer this over the pods, as they don’t always dissolve. Good product overall.

Leaves a lasting soap smell/taste on all dishes, even glass. I couldn’t put my silicone dishes through the dishwasher with this soap. I will never buy it again

The smell has a chemical fragrance and the spotting is bad. I won’t buy this again.

Cascade gel is the absolute BEST ! My dishes come out completely clean and shining . My glasses look crystal clear ! Can’t say enough about this dishwasher gel ! It’s top tier and definitely you get your moneys worth !!

We used the pods for so long and had nothing but trouble. Dishes were not clean the bottom of the dishwasher always looked gross, this stuff is awesome. The dishes are clean and they don't leave a coating from the capsule that the pods did

Makes your dishes smell like fragrance. Any food takes on the smell from the dishes.

It cleans well enough, but this formula is waaaay too strong with the fragrances. I could stand how strong it was when opening the dishwasher, but when using whatever is cleaned there's a lingering taste of said fragrance. Needing to switch to something else because of it.

Cascade has been a member of our house hold since I was a small child, maybe before that. I am 38yr old now and have 3 boys of my own. There very beautiful mother inside and out, handles the cooking. While I cant say I do the dishes to help every night, but on a blue moon I will. I rely on Cascade Powers Away w/ Dawn my go to, and her go too. Actually if anyone uses anything else, They will no longer be welcomed! Were LOYAL CASCADE!!!! WHOOOOO!!!

SO MUCH FRAGRANCE. I have to put all the clean dishes through a rinse cycle just to not taste or smell fragrance in my food. Yikes! Why?

Congratulations, Cascade and P&G for ruining another perfectly fine product. The old lemon Cascade Original was effective and the smell was not overbearing. It did not leave residue or scent or taste on dishes. Since it was replaced with this Complete formula - and following the directions on the bottle and my dishwasher to the letter - I continually have a residue on my dishes. It leaves a horrible lingering scent in the dishwasher. Even worse, the overbearing scent can be tasted in food. I guess it makes sense - they ruined Dawn in the same way. As for cleaning - it is no better or worse than anything else. I guess I'm off P&G products for good, then.

Leaves yucky taste on dishes. I preferred the Target brand dishwasher soap that was cheaper and didnt leave the icky taste on the fishes, but unfortunately Target discontinued it.

I’m a dishwasher technician and maintenance specialist so it’s safe to say I use my machine correctly everytime, all my wash arms are always free of any blockages & my dishwasher is cleaned once a month and is probably the most sanitary dishwasher in the world with how clean I keep it. I’ve been using this gel on and off for many many years and it seems to struggle in different water types. It leaves a ton of spots behind on dishes, and before you say “oh try our cascade rinse aid” I’m already using it and my dispenser stays full at all times. I switched to powder, and the spotting immediately stopped when using powder detergent and keeping my rinse aid dispenser set to the medium setting. If you have hard water or moderately soft water don’t use this, use powder or pacs. This gel will clean fine, but doesn’t have enough anti spotting agents in it. You need to correct this cascade. This has been going on for too long and it’s been one of our favorite gels and it’s time that this gets addressed, it should be able to sorkin all water types and there’s no way you guys don’t know this in the lab unless your not testing it in multiple different water types. Also, your platinum pacs cause immense oversudsing in softer water, that needs to be addressed as that’s been ongoing ever since you released them in the 2000s. It’s 2025, why is it so difficult for you guys to correct these things people have been complaining about for years?

Tried a lot of different detergents. This one is hands down the best
