This really needs to be a half a star, but target won't let me

The bottle came as if it’s the oldest one on the shelf that was pulled however, the expiration date is September 29, 2029 when opening the jar. I noticed the Seal didn’t have a pop sound. First thing I asked was was this already opened when I pulled the top off. There was not a sealant over the lid and there is fingerprints of molasses on the jar, I believe someone opened this already. Disgusting how dare you ship that to someone? Why not write it off as a defective item?… but whatever it’s only $3 and some change.

Ordered two. One arrived broken. What a mess! I don't recommend ordering online. It was wrapped in bubble wrap, but wasn't enough to keep it from leaking. Product itself was pretty good.

Yummy

This molasses tastes verh rich and delicious. Works great in baked goodsand in making brown sugar. Fantastic quality not too thick noy to thin. This was rhe best molasses ive ever had in my life would highly recommend.

These molasses from Good and Gather has a great flavor and texture. They are thick and mixed well into the recipes. Not Good

This Molasses was NOT good. I'm a baker and need a few bottles in a pinch. I couldn't find my normal brand. I used one bottle and it ruined my cookies. I had to throw out the dough and run out and find a different option. I ended up returning the other two bottles I had. Sorry to say I would not recommend this.

Good and Gather Molasses Jar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this bottle of molasses, it was the perfect size. Used it when I made my annual molasses cookies for Christmas, and it tasted great! I like the bright yellow packaging that was easy to find in the store, and the size was good as well. Not too big, and not too small. I received an incentive to write this review.

Short on ounces

The label shows that there is 9 ounces, but there was just over 8. I measured out the one cup that I needed for my recipe and noticed that it emptied the jar accept for what was stuck to the sides. So I turned the jar upside down in a bowl and left it until the sides cleared, and there was less than a half ounce. I'm glad I didn't need the full nine ounces.

Pay attention to ounces

I use molasses only for gingerbread cookies. I ordered this online for pickup, it was close in cost to name brands, but a little cheaper so I bought it. I didn’t realize the size difference until I went to make my cookies today. I always have a bit extra after I measure, today I will have to run out to get another bottle since it is 3 oz less than grandmas. What seemed like a good deal was in fact overpriced.

Molasses that gets the job done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made this gingerbread Bundt cake using the good and gather molasses and it turned out great. The molasses is dark and rich and incorporated into the batter well. It is messy however, but I guess that’s unavoidable with something sticky like molasses. I received an incentive to write this review.

This particular brand has a good thick consistency that is dark and full. It mixes really well into all the other ingredients and my cookies came out soooo good! Def a keeper I received an incentive to write this review.

Could stand some improvement but good enough to get the job done

I like the size of the container and that it is easy to hold. The label is boring and reminds me of the Knorr chicken bouillon... but it's fine. The molasses itself seems to be good enough, though I don't recommend sampling by itself. Looking forward to making molasses cookies!

Good & Gather unsulphured molasses

I received this product for free from the Hey, Bullseye™ sampling program in exchange for my honest review. Used this jar to make some home made marranitos. For those who don’t know, they are a Mexican pig shaped sweet bread that uses molasses as a main component in the dough. They turned out delicious! Flavor was on point and so was the texture and smell. I’ll definitely be adding this brand of unsulphured molasses to my regular baking staples.

Smelled and tasted great

arrived packaged very securely and no spills or breakages in the box. This smelled and tasted very similar to a named brand product and showed no different when baked. It was slightly thinner than I would expect but overall quite pleased

Excellent product

I really love to make cookies with those fall flavors of warmth-molasses, ginger bread, etc. and good spices and molasses can really make or bread your recipe. Good and gather brand has yet to disappoint me! Great molasses and will be thrilled to enjoy in my baking.
