Great for sore throats without being overpowering
I recently tried these caramel cough drops for the first time and I love them. I was hesitant because they only list pectin and no menthol which usually doesn't do much for a really irritated throat. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they do offer a similar, much less intense, feeling to menthol and it still helps soothe. I'm assuming that's coming from some of the herbal ingredients. The flavor is great and different from the usual suspects that get old quick. The drop lasts about 5 minutes for me including getting to the liquid middle that provides a warm rush to help even more. They may be my new favorite cough drops!

Nice alternative to the usual mint and fruity cough drops. Tastes like a hard caramel / butterscotch candy. The filling tastes a little chocolately, almost like a thin mint but less minty. I wish the filling was thicker because I feel like it didn’t coat my throat or provide much relief.

What a relief!
What a relief and what a tasty throat drops! The caramel flavor throat balm from my Ricola is delicious and will protect my throat when my throat feels irritated or scratchy. The product contains 7, 6 mg Pectin and can be taken every two hours if needed. I can feel it works shortly after, is not recommended for children under 6 years old. I feel good about Ricola throat balm drops and I would recommend it.

Awful Taste
Please beware they smell and taste like soured butterscotch liquor. I didn’t read the label well enough to notice it was caramel flavored, I spit it out and threw the bag out. They have a bunch of other kinds/flavors that are tasty and highly effective but these are a flop based purely on taste.
