Costway 24'' L-Shaped Deep Root Planter Box Wooden Raised Garden Bed with Open-Ended Base

Got 4 of these planters on sale about 60% off. If I had paid for them at full price this review would be 2 stars. Pros: excellent customer service (explanation at the end), material is real wood, wood is precut, design is handy and already mapped out (it’s a kit, after all). Cons: wood is unfinished (which is fine) so it splinters (not nice), entire assembled piece is not square (there are gaps and overlaps in various places around the unit, and yes, screws were not fully tightened down until all pieces were connected to ensure we could square it as much as possible). And, I just went outside to take pics for this review and the wood has developed mold or mildew, which might impact the quality of my garden soil health. If I had paid full price for these I’d be really mad about it. For the finished assembly, the quality is not worth full price. But overall, at the discounted price, I think these are an ok value. I am not sure how long they’ll last as they are unfinished wood and will break down over time, which I knew when I chose to buy this and not another style of raised bed. Just not sure how long I will get my money’s worth out of it, so another reason I would not have paid over (full) price for these. When first opened, my partner couldn’t find any instructions. I called Costway customer service on a Saturday and my call was answered promptly by a real person. He was friendly, patient, and professional, emailed me a .pdf of the manual that included the inventory and instructions (the actual sheet was later found between two boards once fully unpackaged.) I like the company, the product is decent, glad it was on sale. I’ll be calling Costway again to ask about the mold/mildew :(

I did it all by myself! lol need time and patience..just like with everything else. I planted some faux cypress trees in them and used it a privacy fence in our yard. Really awesome!

Love this garden planter. Looks great and was easy to put together. Ordered a second one!

This garden box was easy to assemble with one person. It's fairly sturdy. A bit hard to move so best to install near the final location. Predrilled holes were helpful. Everything labeled well. Instructions easy to follow.

It looks nice once we got it together. The instructions are just very poor diagrams. Some holes not drilled in proper locations so we ended up drilling some new ones ourselves.
