The best mineral based sunscreen I've tried

I recently received this and tried it today. I absolutely love this mineral sunscreen. It's a light non-greasy fluid that goes on effortlessly and isn't greasy or sticky. I recently read about a study that mineral based sunscreens work better at blocking uv rays to prevent brown spots and sunburn so I have been trying different brands to find one that goes on smoothly and isn't tacky or leave white residue. I wish it came in a larger size.

As someone with oily acne prone skin, this sunscreen feels a little heavier than I'd like it to be, but it has not seemed to cause any breakouts since I started using it. There is minimal whitecast (I have a lighter skin tone) and very little pilling even though I put it on immediately after moisturizer. Decent replacement for the now discontinued mineral sunscreen from Versed.

I like this product, nice mineral sunscreen and doesn't irritate my skin. However it's very greasy on me (combo skin, oily T zone) and re-application led to the product building up over the day. Good for a beach day or yard day but not my favorite to wear to work. I haven't tried layering under make up.

This is one of the best sunscreens I have ever used. It gives your skin a nice glow while providing great protection. It is not greasy but yet it is moisturizing. It works great for rosacea prone skin too without breakouts. I will purchase this product again

Ahh, the endless quest for a perfect sunblock. Expected to return this, but still wanted to give it a try because I had such good results from the other Prequel products. My skin is so darn dry and sensitive, so sunblock is always a problem. It usually makes me itch and get red blotches. Happy to report I have had no itching (wow) and it only dries me out so very, very slightly. I'll continue to use this. I don't think there is dimethicone in it, which was a major selling point.

Shiny finish with white cast but manageable

Very shiny finish with white cast. Since this is a mineral sunscreen, I expected that. I feel like if I apply little and blend it in and add more it is manageable. I have medium olive skin so it leaves a white-ish pearlescent finish. Light makeup helps cover this up. I have oily skin and I have blot my skin through out the day when I wear this.

I love this sunscreen! I have extremely dry skin and this is very moisturizing and does not sting around my eyes. I can see where it may be a little too greasy for those without dry skin. By my skin loves it.

I have been using this sunscreen a couple times per day for about two weeks and it has not caused any skin irritation and rubs in well. I was hoping it would have a slightly amount of tint to help cover/protect my mild rosacea from other types of light, but the pink color actually just blends into the skin. It’s a great moisturizer, but the search continues for one with a little color to it.

Holy grail?? Doesn't burn eyes. Shocked.

I got this as a freebie, and was thinking it would be a waste because by the end of the day with sweat, and itching my eyes EVERY sunscreen burns my eyes, at least a little (but some are better than others). I think this one legit doesn't, even after a week of daily use. I'm so shocked. Formulation is a bit shiny/oily looking, but I like that. I barely notice the sparkle others describe in their comments. I don't wear foundation or anything which could be why, but I haven't noticed any pilling like others mention either. Bottle also doesn't leak like some of Prequel's other products. Overall I may have found my holy grail sunscreen. Thanks!

This is the best sunscreen for my face I've ever tried--it's been impossible to find one higher than about SPF 15 that doesn't break me out or irritate my skin slightly. This is the first one that actually makes my skin feel *better* at the end of the day. The finish is a bit glowier/dewier than I would like (could do without the mica), but there's no white cast on my medium skin, and the shine fades after the first hour or so. I'm just relieved to have found a sunscreen that actually feels like it's good for my skin.

I was afraid to purchase this mineral SPF because of the pilling comments. I'm glad I decided to try it. The first day I wore it, I over did it. I added more than the appropriate amount. It felt way too greasy and the cast was noticeable. I was discouraged. Went back to my usual mineral SPF. I figured I would give Prequel another chance a couple days later. This time, I used the appropriate amount. I have melasma, so I added extra on my cheek bones where I have the melasma patches. I didn't have any issues with pilling at all. I do not wash my face in the morning because I'm older and have dry skin. This may be why I didn't have issues with pilling. The SPF feels very moisturizing. I have sensitive skin, but so far I have not had any issues. It is very luminous. I have very dry skin, but after a couple of hours wearing the sunscreen, I look oily. Which I don't mind. I just blot once later in the day. No biggie. I love that it's SPF 50.

This is my new holy grail sunscreen! I have my fingers crossed that Prequel will setup an Auto Ship or subscription at some point because I make sure to always have SPF on hand. This blends very well into my light olive complexion and doesn’t turn gray on me. Some mineral sunscreens can do that on my skin. It has a more fluid consistency, and feels very hydrating on the skin. I have at least 5 because I just love it so much
