Q: How does it empty into the garbage? Or does it have little bags inside to collect everything it picks up? I can't see how this could be any different than the other Sharks?

A: After every clean the Auto-Empty System empties automatically. Additionally, this model incorporates a charging dock that can hold up to 30 days of dust and debris. Once it is full of debris, it will require to be emptied.

This will be my 2nd time returning it within 60 days , the bottom brush just stops spinning when full power . Horrible design , has a little pocket in the filter area that gets full of dirt and has zero ways to clean it . I had high hopes for this vacuum but looks like it’s back to Dyson .

Bought this vacuum in Feb 2025 and I am already so disappointed. The suction is ok, at best. The canister has a little piece closed off and it collects the smallest dust particles that do not come out when it self empties. The roller and the clear casing around it is already DISGUSTING despite my best efforts to keep it clean. It doesn't pick up "debris," only fine dust and/or hair. anything bigger than a grain of rice is not being sucked up.

We have had this for about 6 months and regret the purchase 100%. The vacuum tube constantly blocks due to the diameter being so small, almost each vacuum it needs to be pulled apart a d have something pushed through the tube to clear the blockage. The attachments are useless as the suction is so poor, and the main power head won't pick up anything larger than .microscopic dust. Purchased from a third party so no returns, has been an absolute waste of money, don't fall for the 5 star reviews. Really disappointing shark do not reply or respond to any of the reviews, I find this to be poor business practice.

This is useless. Where do I start? On low power mode the battery lasts 20 minutes. It takes forever to recharge. I craft so sometimes I have bigger pieces to vac but this makes the vac clog. So it’s fine if you only have dust on your floors. The self clean again, only works if you only have dust. It’s useless around edges and the detect detects 30 seconds after needed. For the price point on this I expect much more. I wish I saved a bit longer and got another Dyson.

Honestly I LOVED this at first. Got it for my birthday in March and it messed up last week. Cleaned all the filters. Took it all apart and cleaned it but it still kept blinking red then died. The battery felt hot. I’m disappointed because I love shark and always had a good experience but this didn’t last 3 full months. Such a bummer

I’m beyond frustrated with the Shark Cordless Vacuum IW3511. For such an expensive product, it feels flimsy and poorly made, like a complete waste of money. The neck has become loose, making it wobbly and hard to maneuver. The auto-detect feature, which adjusts suction for different floors, quit working after just a few months. The seal on the dust container leaks constantly, letting vacummed debris escape, and my cats pet hair gets stuck at the bottom of the chamber, never fully empties which makes the 'Auto-Empty' feature useless... This vacuum is a huge letdown. To make matters worse, I purchased the Allstate protection plan at checkout, thinking it would offer peace of mind if I ran into issues like this. But filing a claim is a nightmare—Allstate requires you to contact Shark first and get a letter stating they’ve denied your warranty claim before you can even start their claim process. This extra hurdle makes the protection plan feel like another waste of money. Avoid this vacuum and the added plan; it’s not worth the hassle or cost.

Initially the vacuum was fantastic until it started to lose suction. I found that metal particles would stick to the trap door magnet, therefore, not allowing it to close fully and seal. It is not easy to remove the particles from the magnet.

Just purchased this vacuum yesterday from The good guys. The suction isn’t strong and takes multiple passes for dust on hard floors and not strong enough for sliding door groves. It’s nice that it empties itself but metal particles build up on the magnet causing it to not close properly then the dust and dirt the next use falls out the bottom. The magnet is a pain to clean and requires cleaning after each big use. The battery run time is about 10-15 minutes.

I love the convenience of this vacuum, truly. We’ve had it a year in an 1800 sq foot home with mix of carpet and LVP and multiple pets. It’s an easy to use, light, good suction, love the stand and auto empty function… BUT… it’s so flimsy it’s not cracked twice! The first time, I managed to salvage with some zip ties…. But this last crack renders the machine inoperable. I’m so annoyed. This is just from routine use! Because of the price tag, I’ll be reaching out to Shark’s warranty department and asking them to honor the 5 year limited warranty to repair or replace the machine. I will say I recommend for light use on hard floors or rugs, but the flimsiness of the vacuum makes it susceptible to breaking. Do not recommend on carpet, especially carpet on the thicker side. My carpet is in the thinner side so it’s ok, but again the thing has not cracked/broke twice.
