The challenge was the low windowsill beneath the large window. However, when set up horizontally instead of vertically, this bookcase turned out to be the perfect solution! The four "shelves" create four "cubbies" where I could place some existing wicker baskets. I still had the entire top surface for additional storage bins—exactly what I needed for that small, low space under the window. I can't comment on its long-term durability just yet, but I'm confident it will hold up well with proper use. One word of caution, as others have mentioned: Be EXTREMELY CAREFUL when nailing the back panel onto the frame. The fiberboard frame can easily split or flake if you have to pull the nails back out for a second try. I did make a few small mistakes, but since it was on the back side facing the wall, I was able to hide them. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase—it's the perfect size, sturdy enough for my needs, fairly easy to assemble, and a fantastic value. I hope this helps anyone who's undecided.
