The ridged plastic jar is so aggravating
If you are going to have plastic jars, at least have them be smooth on the inside--it takes me forever to get the applesauce out of all the nooks and crannies, and even with all my efforts there is a lot wasted. The time, aggravation, and waste are making me look elsewhere for applesauce.

Good taste, but plastic jar design is aggravating!
If you insist on having a plastic jar, please re-design it to be smooth inside - no ridges, no bumps, lumps, protuberances. That way, we can get all the tasty goodness out and not waste any. It's enough to make me look elsewhere for my applesauce. Thank you.

Not recyclable
The new plastic jars are not recyclable. They go to the landfill. I won’t by sauce in plastic jars anymore.

Cons
I hate the plastic jar and it's very inappropriate for a true organic product. I used to love the glass. Also, the apple sauce is too highly produced, leaving only 1gram of fiber a serving. A regular organic apple has around 100 grams of fiber. Couldn't you have left far more fiber in your process?

Recent overall changes in our supply chain led to a switch to recyclable plastic jars instead of glass. We are always evaluating our packaging options, and will be sure to let our team know you’d like to see the glass packaging return in the future. We appreciate your feedback and will be sure to pass along your comments internally.

Great ingredients, but no recycling # on jar
I love the taste and the ingredients - just organic apples, nothing else. However, I am unable to recycle the jar because there is no embossed recycling number on the jar. Many communities can only recycle #1, #2 & #5 type of plastics. If there is no obvious number, the jar is assumed to be type #7 plastic, which is not recyclable.

Good sauce, lousy container
There is no visible number on the base of the container. You claim it's recyclable, but how?

Terrible packaging for an organic product
I eat mostly organic food that uses environmentally friendly packaging. While I love the apple sauce, the packaging couldn't be worse. Plastic jar with plastic lid that is hard to open; plasticized label that is hard to remove. Santa Cruz, wake up! Go back to glass! I will not buy your product anymore until you do!

Please Redesign the Jar!
I love this applesauce but had to start buying it in the individual cups. I can't get all the applesauce out of your current jars due to the ripple design. It would be great if you would either redesign the jar or return to the glass. Please

Plastic Container is a Big No
Wonderful applesauce, but please go back to the glass jar!!! The plastic totally makes it taste different and no wonder.

Best Apple Sauce I have ever had!
I am addicted to this apple sauce! I bake my chocolate cookies with it to replace the butter and they turn out amazing!

Love the sauce, hate the new plastic jar!
The sauce is excellent, have enjoyed it for years. Hate the new plastic packaging you rolled out this year, its not just a turn off but its no longer an environmentally responsible product. Most plastic, even if its deemed “recyclable” ends up in landfills. Go back to glass, its a better alternative! I would be willing to pay a bit more!
