Creamy, Cheesy and Delicious Tomato Pesto
I loved trying this Barilla Creamy Tomato Pesto. I tried it on plain pasta and it was so enjoyable. I even tried the Barilla Creamy Tomato Pesto on a rice, chicken and veggie stir-fry which needed a little extra flavor and I was surprised at how great it tasted. Now, I look forward to trying it on other foods and dishes! This pesto is creamy, cheesy and very flavorful. You can taste the sun-ripened tomatoes with balsamic vinegar right in the sauce which makes for a nice savory blend. This pesto is a quick and easy way to add extra flavor to a meal and there are so many ways to be creative. It really makes food more interesting and delicious. It's definitely going to be a staple in my home.

A great new spin on pesto! The cashews add nuttiness and a bit of extra protein (which is nice if you are experimenting with vegetarian options), while the balsamic vinegar balances all the flavors beautifully. I had fun experimenting with different ways to use it! It is good on all types of pasta, but my favorites were tortellini and gnocchi!

This pesto is delicious and creamy. I spread it on crackers and also added it to a bowl of pasta and it was awesome both ways. It's a small jar, but it goes a long way!

I didn't think this sauce would be really good. I thought it would taste like regular tomato sauce with cream. It tastes concentrated and yummy. I would buy this again on sale since the regular price at Safeway is expensive.

This creamy tomato pesto is smooth and flavorful without being too heavy. The tomato taste is rich, and the creamy texture works really well with pasta. I also used it as a sauce for chicken, and it turned out great. Would definitely purchase again.

This was a delightful change to our usual pesto. We usually do a creamy pesto primavera type dish, but used this instead - it had robust tomato flavor and tang, and tasted delicious! Even my younger kiddo who isn't a fan of tomato's liked this!

Delicious, but still needed something more
While I really did enjoy the creamy tomato pesto, it still felt like it just needed something else to give it a little more pop of flavor. I made mozzarella ravioli and used this pesto as the sauce. It was delicious but again, I feel like there could have been a little something more to really take it to the next level. The sauce was very full bodied and with the addition of a little bit of pasta water, the sauce really opened up and adhered to the pasta very well.
