[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to put this one to the test in a real meal, so for this review I turned the Sturdy Sauce (Garlic & Herb) into chicken cacciatore… and honestly? I didn’t expect it to hit like this. Right off the bat, the sauce smells super fresh; garlic-heavy (in the best way), with that herby, slow-simmered scent like you’ve been cooking all day… even though you didn’t. I browned my chicken, tossed in some peppers and onions, then poured this in and let it do its thing. It thickened up nicely and actually held onto the chicken instead of just sitting watery at the bottom like some sauces do. Flavor-wise, it’s bold but not overpowering. You get the garlic, basil, oregano (very classic, very comforting) but what surprised me most is how filling it is. Like… this isn’t your typical “empty carb” sauce. It’s got 20g of protein per serving from that collagen + whey + bone broth blend, which sounds intense but you genuinely don’t taste anything weird or artificial. It just tastes… hearty. Also no added sugar and no seed oils? Love that for me. It feels like one of those small swaps that actually makes your meal more balanced without trying too hard. If you want a sauce that actually brings something to the table besides just flavor, this one’s a definite. My chicken cacciatore came out rich, satisfying, and felt like a high-protein comfort meal. Would 100% keep this stocked for lazy-but-still-put-together dinners.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Chad Barney Sturdy Garlic Herb Sauce is a new pasta sauce favorite. The jar is easy to open and it’s slender shape makes it easy store away. I love that I can use this sauce with multiple dishes. This sauce goes perfect with pasta, chicken breast and taste delicious over stem veggies. The extra protein in the sauce is great for helping maintain my weight goals. The sauce is the perfect consistency because I dislike watery sauces. This sauce is thick and flavorful. I will be picking this sauce for my pantry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was great for and fast easy dinner. I used to to make baked spaghetti. I thought it is easy to have in the cupboard for a quick easy dinner. It wasn’t too chunky like some past sauce can be. It was really good. Even my son really enjoyed it.

Very not good. Couldn’t even eat the pasta. Made me gag. Couldn’t describe the taste if I wanted to. Read the ingredients an saw 2 different sources of bovine, and that’s it. Idk what bovine anything alone tastes like but I’m betting that’s what I’m tasting in this sauce.

It’s nice to be able to just add a serving with 20g of protein, which is only 1/4 a cup, to any recipe. I just stored it in the fridge until my next meal!

The flavor is really good. It doesn’t have an aftertaste. It’s actually very delicious. The ingredients are highly recommended. The 80 grams of protein with any kind of pasta and salad is a good meal after any long day at work. I made mine with spinach stuffed raviolis and it’s delicious combination.

It tastes great overall, but there is a little bit of an aftertaste that you get here and there which i guess is part of the protein, however its very edible and I'd definitely incorporate it into my meals

Taste isn’t bad. It does have a bit of an aftertaste but I think for the protein it’s well worth it. HOWEVER, I don’t typically have issues with items like this but I was up all night and the following morning with what I’d call Taco Bell syndrome 😅

It tastes like a homemade sauce but it has 80g of protein per jar, which is amazing. It blends so well into dishes and made my beef bolognese hearty without the extra effort. I love that I can boost my protein intake without sacrificing taste at all. The garlic flavor didn’t really come through. When I added extra spices - it seemed to really being it the flavor. The extra protein is a huge plus!!

I expected a more tatse of garlic .But i really couldnt find a garlic tatse in this sauce. The spice level was normal so kids can enjoy it . Wish it has more garlic flavour . Iam not satisfied with over all results .
