[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using super expensive, unscented, aluminum free deodorants for a few years now due to my sensitive skin and have typically avoided bigger brands like dove men due to the ingredients or scents causing a reaction of some kind. I've been using this Men+Care horizon mood boosting deodorant for about a month and I was shocked by how well my skin reacted to this! The scent is subtle and pleasant, the combo of vanilla and sandalwood strike a good balance between sweet and woodsy without being too overpowering. The only con for me; it doesn't last as long as I would like it to. I found myself reapplying half way through a mildly active day. I would suggest this for a more casual day or for people that don't sweat often. I will definitely buy this again. The fragrance is fresh and clean without being overpowering, which was a big plus right away. The application felt smooth and pretty standard for a deodorant, nothing irritating or heavy. However, when it came to odor protection, it didn’t hold up as well as we hoped. He tends to need a stronger deodorant, and even with reapplication, he noticed body odor coming through fairly early on. This may be due to it being aluminum-free or just not strong enough for his body chemistry. Overall, it smells great and feels nice going on, but may work better for someone who doesn’t need heavy-duty odor protection.
