Dove Beauty Clinical 96-Hour Protection Antiperspirant & Deodorant Stick - Original Clean - 2.6oz: Vegan, Solid Form, Suitable for Sensitive Skin

This made me sticky and extra sweaty. Felt like it was gluing my shirt to my pits even though it’s a solid. I consider myself a deodorant connoisseur as I might have a touch of OCD when it comes to sweat and underarms. I’ve used EVERYTHING and will use product a few days under different circumstances before scrutinizing. I think Dove could actually be in trouble on this one for blatant false advertising/false claims. Clinical strength where? I typically use Dove Even Tone +niacinamide 48hr and thought I was upgrading with this due to the nature of the “clinical” claims. I also paid the 4-5$ difference happily. Within AN HOUR my pits were wet and sticking to my shirt. I figured it was user error? And the next day let it “dry” down before putting my shirt on. Same thing. (This is a chalky balm so shouldn’t require drying anyway) After a few more days of poor results, drying, reapplying obsessively, experimenting with less, I put it aside and put back on my Even Tone. No issues with the cheaper, less claim heavy product. I’ve waited about a week now (maybe it was my cycle or hormones causing a weird reaction back then?) and tried it again yesterday fresh out of the shower. I tried to ignore the annoying results and didn’t reapply. It did all the bad things I remember but I steadfastly ignored to have control in my experiment. I woke up this morning with BO and pit stains in my armpits despite being freshly showered and not breaking any type of real sweat yesterday evening in the comfort of my home. My impression of Dove as an overall brand has actually changed to the negative because of this. They’re genuinely selling less product for 40% more. It’s a scam. Lastly - I tried 2 scents. I know. Idiot. Both are noxiously strong scented. I tried this scent and fresh peach. Peach smells like actually peach ring candy. A friend could smell it coming from me 10 feet away one day which is crazy. Do with that info as you will as I typically don’t mind a heavy scent, as long as it goes with my other body care and perfumes that day. I think they added extra scent to cover your BO they know you’d develop after falling for their scam product.

I recently started using this for two weeks, has helped me to not sweat as much and I like the scent of flowers, but to be honest I just don’t like the sensation of being sticky. I notice it more when I’m showering. No matter how many times I clean my armpits, they are still sticky, and that’s something that I have noticed in certain antiperspirants.

it works! but unfortunately I can't stand the floral scent. it's just too strong. it's not that it's the old lady unbearable floral type of scent, it just smells like a flower. I could see people liking it a lot who aren't bothered by florals. I just always have been. bought online so didn't realize it would smell like this until after I tried it out. anywayyyy, proceed with caution if you don't like florals! I hope they come out with one in the vanilla family. doesn't trigger my headaches!

Didn’t work for me. I still smelt like fresh cut onions within 2hrs I sweat a lot due to the type of job I have 😭😭😭

I put Dove Clinical+ Care 96H Protection Antiperspirant Deodorant (Original Scent) through a deliberate stress test, and it performed exactly as advertised. Living in Florida means constant heat and humidity. Add running after a toddler, staying active all day, and a 12.5-hour trip to Europe, and you have ideal conditions to expose weaknesses in any deodorant. This one held up without issue: no sweat breakthrough, no odor, and no dryness or irritation despite being clinical strength. The formula with nourishing serum makes a noticeable difference. It provides strong protection without the tight, over-dried feeling that often comes with high-potency antiperspirants. The original scent is clean and subtle, not overpowering. Bottom line: It’s worth every nickel, and I would absolutely purchase it again.
