I tried Smood Sweets candy dates and was pleasantly surprised. The texture is really nice—soft and chewy without being too sticky—and the natural sweetness of the dates pairs well with the added flavors. They’re a great option if you’re looking for a cleaner dessert or snack. That said, if you’re not usually a fan of dates, the flavor still comes through, so it might take some getting used to. Great idea!
Really loved the flavor! Just like a sour patch watermelon. Great texture. Loved the crunch on the outside and softness on the inside. Super fun!

Good idea, bad product
Really wanted to like these but the pits in the dates killed it for me. Be careful eating these unless you want to get stabbed in the mouth by the pits. Also, the flavors did not mesh well.

Taste like sour skittles
OK, these are actually really good! If you get a good piece of the coating, they totally taste like sour skittles to me. Had they chopped them up into smaller pieces they would taste exactly like healthy sour skittles..

I really wanted to like these. I’ve saw them all over TikTok now I know that the influencers are lying about them because they’re absolutely disgusting. I’m taking it back to target to see if I can get my money back. They taste nothing like a childhood candy like is advertised. All they are a sad dry dates.

Candy coated date did not look like the picture. More flat coating with sad dry dates inside. Flavor was not good. Always up to try the latest trendiest dates, but this was not it. Wish I did not waste my money. This company will definitely not survive.

Strange combination
I feel like this would have tasted great with coffee/ vanilla/ toffee/peanut butter flavors. Fruity and sour artificial flavors did not go well with the date flavor. I liked the chewy texture but not the flavor.

I like these! They’re truly guilt free. I’m working on healing my relationship with food and these make me feel good looking at the macros. You have to go into it open minded. I loved the dark chocolate covered dates I made while pregnant but was worried about the coating. The coating is shockingly super flavorful. No dyes in them which I also love. I was weary about them taking too long to chew so I felt like I was just eating a plain date but I don’t feel that at all. My husband tried them and said they were pretty good and he isn’t a date guy. The outside is a hard shell and the inside is chewy.

The Smood Sweet Sour Watermelon flavored dates are a good treat. If you’re looking for a healthier candy like treat- the watermelon flavor comes through well on these dates. The outside coating is thick, and crumbles when you bite into the date. The date inside is harder than a regular date but overall this is a good treat with some health benefits.

Incredibly tasty but healthier snack
I was hesitant to try these out at first, but have become a huge fan of these candy dates. I have tried multiple flavors and these are probably my favorite. They just taste so similar to one of my favorite candies. But I love that there is no added sugar and that it uses whole pitted dates to get the chewiness. So yummy!.

We have never eaten dates before and unless they had coating like this, I do not think we would even try them. These have a very strong source smell to them when you open the bag. My son said they taste sour but not as strong as they smell. The dates themselves he said were chewy. Overall, he really liked them.
