I would advise you to purchase a SquareTrade protection plan with accidental damage coverage. As long as the SquareTrade protection plan is purchased within 30 days of purchasing your Nintendo Switch, the game console will be covered. Accidental damage protection plans provide coverage for all mechanical and electrical failures that occur during normal use. You will receive 100% parts and labor coverage. Accidental damage, such as drops and spills, is also covered. Please note, SquareTrade protection plans purchased from Target are only for items purchased from Target. This is as worthless as a handbrake on a canoe. This is a complete waste of money. I got it because I was not wanting to have to replace an Xbox prematurely. Well, I’m there anyway. This “protection” plan is a scam. They are a pain in the rear end from the get go. They are unhelpful, rude and request the same info repeatedly. I could tell from the first email response from them that buying the plan was a mistake. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Bought my son a oculus quest 2 with a 2 year protection plan. we had filled 2 claims for little things malfunctioning which were not his fault. I called to file a 3rd claim (less then 7 months into our plan) & they said sorry we only cover as much as you paid for the game. I explained why did I pay for a 2 year then and I read the paper they gave me and there was nothing about that on it. they refused to fix it and told me all they can do is send me 100 check. so now if something happens I have 2 pay hundreds of dollars..

Does NOT include accidental damage. However, you find that out AFTER purchasing the plan or, even worse, after an accidental damage of the product, when it is too late to get a refund. What a waste of money.

This protection plan is a waste of time, snd very difficult to use. READ the fine print before purchasing. Keep in mnd you can not use the plan if the manufacture warranty has not expired. I was not aware of this when I was pressured in to purchasing the plan at the register. I guess Im stuck buying a new Nintendo switch because the manufacture is experiencing delays do to COVID 19 and you have to ship the unit in to get it repaired. I thought this would be like a phone protection plan you get a replacement for your broken item and they get to keep the

Buying this protection plan is definitely worth the small price of $39 that you pay for 2 years. I didn't think I would have anything wrong with my Nintendo Switch but purchased anyways and I am glad that I did. After filing an online claim it wasn't long before I was sent a shipping label and told to mail it to them. They paid for the box all I had to do was pay to have it packaged so it was properly protected. Once they received it, it took less and a day to fix and it is already being sent back to me with 2 day shipping. I am overall pleased and glad to receive such great service.

I hate this plan. Why can't I just return it to the store and have them figure out the paperwork? Then when I forgot to include the joycons so everything was returned back to me with the claim cancelled. So a new claim opened and sending EVERYTHING back again. All during the start of summer vacation with school being out and vacations. I swore my wife was going to kill me during our first trip as our kids were doing a 6 hour car trip there and a 6 hour trip back along with the time rained in. I really hope it gets taken care of before our second trip.

Just had to use this for grandson’ Nintendo switch. The website didn’t work properly. It kept changing the drop downs so it got denied. Had to call and they were very helpful and nice on the phone. Hopefully it doesn’t take to long to get back.

I've purchased protection plans in the past for various electronics and never have I received absolutely no information about purchased plans, no confirmation info, and no guidelines, until purchasing this plan. I guess I just have to hope it.s there should I need it? I tried learning more in person once already and was just kind of brushed off because its all digital... but usually you're provided info. Tried learning more online and it literally says you can't learn more about this plan online or by phone. Where did my $39 go? Non-refundable so again, I guess I hope it's there. Maybe a vital email with more information simply wasn't sent? Who knows... certainly not me.
