Q: Why does this lamp have 2 cords from the base to a small box before turning into 1 cord to the wall? Nothing on this site about a box and no mention of it in the very limited instructions.

Pole lamp worth the price!
Lamp is of good quality. Would have liked to have all light controls for all three lamps on the main posts rather than two of them on the reading lamps. Found out the hard way about having it shipped to our house and assembling it. The packing styrofoam is a MESS! Pieces were everywhere. Took an additional 30 minutes just to clean up the mess. Have the lamp shipped to the store and let them assemble it and deal with the mess!

Torchiere Lamp Provides Many Lighting Options
This is a great quality lamp and fits perfectly in my office to provide room light and light directly focused to each side of my L-desk. After a bit of figuring out, the top light can be dimmed/adjusted. The bottom 2 lights are smaller than average; however, the right bulb provides a good light for computer/paperwork working areas.

Handsome lamp
The brushed nickel is beautiful and so is the glass shade. Regarding the side lights, I would recommend reflector bulbs (spots), otherwise there is apt to be a great deal of glare. Additionally, the side glass shades don't attach to their bases tightly, but not a deal-breaker.

Great lamp! Perfect for a dark corner
Great lamp. The lamp looks modern with clean lines. The white frosted shade lights up the corner of my room. Easy to assemble. The base is very heavy; sour keep the lamp straight. I like the torchiere style light in the space so that it does not shine in my eyes. I like the dimmer .

Very functional
I have two of these and they serve the purpose very nicely. The lamp lights up the room and you can separately use the other lights for reading. Its sturdy and looks good almost anywhere.

Glad we purchased these lamps
The lamp is very stylish and good looking. We like being able to have all 3 lights on, or just two or just one. The top light is the only one that is dimmable. We deducted a star because we received one with the top shade broken, one side light not working and one of the smaller shaded was chipped. Also the wrong size bulbs were recommended for the two reading lights.

it is a nice lamp, That is made well and has some weight to it. The only thing is the top globe does not lock in and it is worrysome to me if someone hit it by mistake. but i do love it!

I was very pleased with this lamp. It's difficult to find good, heavy-based torchiere lamps that have glass shades any more. I liked the simple, "transitional" design as it will go with anything. I like having the reading lamp (my aging eyes appreciate it!), and I like being able to dim the top light. As usual, the poles were a little difficult to put together, until I learned a trick..."unscrew" the poles until they drop into the threads (you'll know) and then they will screw on straight, as long as you keep the poles straight.

Excellent lamp and great customer service
The lamp looks great in our cabin and provides just what we were looking for: nice light for the living room in the evening, dim light for watching TV, and bright, focused light for reading. Unfortunately, one of the smaller lights was damaged when we received it, but the customer service people were prompt and helpful and sent a replacement right away. We are very pleased with the purchase.

Amazing lamp for personal and communal use
Love this lamp so much. Assembly was straightforward, the lamp looks aesthetically pleasing, and the most important part is that it lights up the whole room. We have one in a bedroom and living room and haven’t regretted it at all.

Great lamp
Needed a torchiere as room does not have any overhead lighting and no room for table lamps. I liked the idea of being able to use LED bulbs.This light fit the room and had the side lights for reading.
