5 Shelf Bookcase - Room Essentials™

I have out together many bookcases like this one. They were relatively easy to do because the instructions were PRINTED ON PAPER WITH DIAGRAMS; THE PARTS WERE LABELED. The parts are not labeled. The instructions are online. I don’t have a printer. Imagine holding your phone and trying to put the bookcase together! The $20 bookcases I have bought and put together weed better than this $40 product.

This shelf is pretty unstable and there is no notch out in the back to accomodate baseboards so it sticks out from the wall pretty far marking it more unstable. I would return it, it it’s not worth the effort of taking it apart and putting it back in the box.

These bookcases were super easy to build! I bought a total of 7. Had them built right away, took me less than 10 minutes to build each one. Super easy. I like the length. Redoing my mom’s closet so these came in handy. The only thing I wish I could change, is the amount of shelves included. Wish it had more.

Good for a very basic bookshelf. Ended up returning due to poor quality though, the nails on the back board keep coming out.

As soon as we assembled the shelf in Espresso the top portion broke off. We had to use additional hardware and brackets to fix the shelf and make it useable. We feel like we wasted $40 and will not buy furniture from the store again.

Great value, but assembly was tricky due to missing labels.

I purchased one of these before about 6 years ago and it was amazing! HOWEVER, we recently moved and needed two more for our living room. We purchased one first to see if it would look good but we weren’t even able to get it completed due to the piece missing to connect the top and bottom. I talked to customer service and got a full refund without needed to return it (it was halfway built). You would think i would have learned by now and not buy another but i did. We had the exact same issue and this time customer service told me i had to disassemble the piece and take it back to the store to get a refund. I told them i would not be doing that considering IT WAS ALREADY HALFWAY BUILT. I took a loss with this one but im extremely disappointed and will not be purchasing again.

Nothing was labeled not sure if this was a bad batch but it made it impossible to build

This is the second bookshelf I’ve purchased, months apart, with the same wrong screws. The predrilled holes are made for screws like in the image. The screws provided can’t be screwed in. Customer service just tells me to come in for an exchange, as if it’s a shirt I’m throwing in a bag and bringing to the store. It’s a hassle, especially to get another one with the same issue. Disappointed.

Not for renters. It MUST be screwed into a wall to be stable. On it's own, it cannot stand. It's not difficult to assemble, until you get to nailing the piece of paper to the back, which slips and slides. Good luck getting it on. It's literally 3 paper boards cello taped together.

Needed to remodel the closets of all my family members and they requested these cause they saw TikTok about them. They've been simple, fast to build by myself which was nice considering I did 4 closets and was not exhausted or annoyed by the end of it! It's been a couple of months and they've held up great and still look brand new. Would recommend if you need to remodel cause of the quality and the price ( significantly less than if I went to IKEA) also if you just want to change the look of your room it's visually nice and can hold a lot.

Useful nice bookcase

When took the the pieces out of the box the weren’t labeled. The instructions aren’t clear when I got done putting this together the book case is wobbly so I’m going to have to return it I don’t like the quality.

It’s a great simple shelf. Needed it for storage in my 8 yr olds room. It’s tall and not too wide. It was also fairly easy to put together, however the only down side was that the pieces weren’t labeled. Other than that it’s a great purchase!

Instructions were not clear-the pieces did not have stickers with which letter they were represented by in the instructions.

Used this to create a closet in our child’s room. Great quality for the price.
