I was nervous to put them together after reading the reviews, but it went pretty smoothly. I followed the instructions and realized you had to pull lightly before hammering in place. I would buy again. I’m also NOT handy, and didn’t have to ask for help lol.

Puzzle that doesnt fit
The pieces are so very hard together this is not a 1 man (woman) job. Even with help it was still difficult to put the pieces together. After struggling to try to fit a piece together for an hour, even with trying multiple different parts I decided to return this item. Now I know why it was discounted!

Missing boards
I would have been very upset had I bought this at full price. I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing. Like others have said, assembly didn't go smoothly. There were a lot of 4 letter words used when I was putting this together. I found this on the clearance rack, and I had been needing a shelf for organizing my shed, so I thought I hit the jackpot when I saw this for $50. When I got around to finally opening the box, I realized that it was MISSING 2 OF THE WOOD BOARDS, so my 5 tier shelf automatically became a 3 tier shelf :( Shame on Target for not checking that all the pieces were there when someone returned this to the store. It would have been too cumbersome to pack it back up and return it. We'll see how it holds up in the Florida heat. If you see on clearance, I'd go for it. Definitely don't pay full price.

DO NOT BUY
Assembly was so horrible. Pieces not fitting. The connector didn’t fit or secure. Just horrible. I wish I could return it but that’s more of a hassle. Luckily it was on clearance at my store for $48. If it’s full price at your store, DO NOT BUY!!!!

this shelf is terrible.
absolute garbage. worst design for connecting the posts I've ever seen. flimsy posts bend immediately, the connections physically do not fit. do not buy this.

bruh
dont get me wrong, the setup of this godforsaken shelf is a loud, silly process. yes the concave side of the beams face OUT. The corner joints are meant to have the vertical rails sit directly on top of eachother (i think) and NOT over lap. you WILL mess this up 1-2 times and make a looney-toon fightscene level of noise while doing so because the instruction manual is lacking descriptions. the base level is the hardest but keep going. just keep going. yes i have a migraine by assembling this in a small space. yes it is extremely sturdy and works for what i needed it for. and yes it looks good by itself. dont put this anywhere that isnt temperature controlled, the boards will warp. you're welcome. comes with a rubber mallet which is nice.

Nightmare to assemble; buy something more logically designed
This unit is sturdy but a complete nightmare to figure out how to attach the upper posts to the lower. It's a badly designed system, to begin with, but the instructions are useless and Brightroom didn't bother to create its own video how-to, which would've helped immensely. Thankfully a nice man volunteered to create a video himself, but it's hardly the professional video showing details well. Buy a different shelf unit unless you like frustration and wasting lots of time.

Buy Double of What You Need & Return
This is really only worth buying when it's half off, despite that the finish that target's version has compared to other stuff available online or from other brick and mortars is nicer. However having bought several in both sizes offered. You really need to buy an extra one if you're purchasing one or two, because it's pretty much guaranteed that anywhere between 25% to 75% of the parts will come bent and be unusable, preventing you from completing assembly. Buy more than what you need so you can pull usable pieces from another set, and then return it with all your bent, unusable pieces. Target would not provide replacement pieces and instructed to buy another and return the damaged.

horrible design
Honestly wish I can give this a zero star rating with how nonsturdy this is. My boyfriend put it together and it was not easy. The metal is flismy and the wood is not durable. I would definitely not trust this thing in an earthquake. We are returning this.

Lighter weight shelving
So we configured these as two shelves, which is one of the options when building it. For where we wanted to have this (in our basement) it would be nearly too tall so we did a split build. The process of building this was pretty simple, you need no tools as the little rubber mallet was provided and the pieces individually are light. It’s much easier to do this with two people, since the pieces are thin and light, when you go to assemble everything it helps to have someone holding the pieces to steady them. This brings me to my first downside of it, the pieces of this overall are thin and some bent very slightly in transit, not a huge deal since they could be bent back with little effort. But this leads me to think that this shelf is suited for light to medium weight objects. My next concern is since mental pieces are thinner, they can be a little warped almost and when the shelving pieces are placed on there can be slight gaps. This leads me back to thinking this is best suited for lighter weight objects. The shelves themself are thick and heavy duty though, so I feel comfortable with them supporting whatever I need. Overall this is a good shelf, but just keep in mind it’s not quite as thick and heavy duty as some other shelving.

Sturdy, Spacious, and Easy to Assemble!
It’s been a game-changer for my storage needs! This shelving unit is incredibly strong and well-built, perfect for organizing a variety of heavy items in my garage. Each shelf holds a substantial amount of weight without sagging, which is exactly what I needed for my tools and equipment. One of the best features is the boltless design, making assembly quick and simple—no extra tools or hardware needed! I had it fully set up in under an hour. The adjustable shelves allow for flexibility, so I could customize the spacing to fit larger items as well. The shelving unit is quite tall, giving me ample vertical storage space while keeping everything easily accessible. The steel frame feels robust and durable, ensuring it will last for years. I also appreciate the sleek design that looks great in my storage area. Overall, this shelving unit is a fantastic investment for anyone looking to organize heavy or bulky items in a tidy and efficient way. Highly recommended!

Awful to put together.
I couldn't put it together. Parts didn't line up properly. Instructions aren't the best, but honestly, I just think parts I got were defective. I couldn't find any videos on how to assemble it either. I am returning it.

Not great
Not at all heavy duty. Awful to put together since things didn’t line up properly. Keeping it since I sit. Need heavy duty and I got it on sale half off.

Not at all sturdy
Sounds easy to put together with the “boltless” design but man really flimsy to put together. The shelves are particle board as well so forget it getting wet at all. Returning both units. Really sad this didn’t work out.
