Q: Does this shelf need to be assembled?

  • A: This does not need any assembly. After you take it out of the box, cut the zip ties that are holding the unit in place. Unfold the side rails. Then raise or lower each shelf….it rests on the peg.

    Good, sturdy shelf-no assembly needed

    I have previously purchased several of these units with 3 shelves. Those purchases were made in a physical store. This tall, narrow 5 shelf unit was not available in store. I purchased it online and had it delivered. It fits perfectly in the space that I had planned....dimensions given are accurate. The only negative is that a small portion of the side railing looks like it was bent in transit. Hubby was able to bend the small section so that the shelf could be lowered into place. It looks okay and will serve its purpose.

    Mine came bent, so it took A LOT of strength to get the shelves into place and it would stand crooked without the feet (one of which was floating around the box…). Otherwise a fairly nice shelf, but $70 is overpriced for the quality.

    Great fit for a narrow hall closet

    Needed shelving for a narrow hallway closet. This does the job perfectly :-) Folding shelves are rad in general - easy to set up, easy to handle when you move - and this is no exception. Been using it for roughly 4 months, mostly to store cleaning products, and so far it's proved sturdy and stable. In case this is useful to anyone: this works well with the Brightroom Modular plastic tubs (fits one large tub per shelf)

    Good design, easy, attractive

    Purchased this to fit in my closet for shelf space. The product comes pre-assembled. You just have to unfold it and add rubber caps to the ends that meet the shelves. It fits nicely under the closest pole. I also thought it would be attractive as a plant rack. I have decided to purchase one more since it is so versatile and I can store it if needed by folding it.
