My local store was out of stock, so I ordered this online. It arrived damaged from shipping. The next week I checked back at the store and was pleased to find this back in stock. The box looked to be in decent condition. Took it home only to discover it was also damaged. The item itself could be great if you can find one undamaged. Packaging needs to be improved or Target will have a high rate of returns on this.

Very sturdy and easy to assemble. I have several in my garage, and they've held up very well. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because they often come slightly damaged from the shipping process: usually no more than a few scratches or bent shelves. The damaged pieces have never affected the durability of the shelves, though.

This thing is about as simple as shelves go so there’s not much to say about it. I’ve got like three or four of these in various sizes and I love them. However, after taking it out of the box, I noticed the finish is smoother than the other ones that I’ve had. My other black shelves have more of a textured finish, which I prefer — it feels more durable. But this one has a very smooth feel to it. It’s been probably four or five years since I last bought one of these, so perhaps this is an “updated” version. I don’t get the sense that the paint is as durable as the older ones though. I guess time will tell.

I Absolutely love this shelf but didn’t love the delivery/customer service process. It arrived with the box completely smashed up and open sitting outside my door. And when attempting to put it together it was so bent and broken the shelves couldn’t go on. Talking to customer service on the app wasn’t pleasant. I had to bring it 40 minutes away to exchange their mistake for sending me a damaged product. And the people at guest services were extremely rude and dismissive. I’ve never had an issue with target. Or getting things delivered until recently they’re getting very sloppy and don’t care it seems.

This shelving unit is pretty heavy duty The fact that it came with a bent makes me wonder about it's travel from the factory to my house. Must have been a difficult journey. I didn't see it until it was all together and I'm not sure that getting a new one will be much different. Contemplating an exchange.

I specifically selected the rack because it fits the space I need it for. The service provider that you used to deliver the package 1. did not call me to confirm a substitution and 2. is now missing the delivery timeframe. Now she’s on her way here to deliver a rack that’s not going fit the space I need it for. Now I have to load it in my car and return it. Thanks for nothing.

These units have no issue. It was the shipping, they both showed up in boxes that were more packing tape than cardboard. I have a couple bent shelves but it is basement storage, so I'm not too concerned.
