5 Shelf Bookcase with Doors - Sauder

Stores everything I need for our homeschool curriculum!

I wanted hidden storage space, and some bookshelves. This unit gives me both and meets my needs.

unit was packaged very well. Pieces went together well. Instructions were adequate but you really have to follow them closely and take your time. The only real issue I had was adjusting the hinges to make the doors fit better.

Love how this looks, and its functionality. The directions were understandable and the pieces in box were all in good shape. Nice addition to my office.

Bookcases look great, and feel pretty solid. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars, is because out of 2 bookcases, I had to modify the holes on the doors to make the hinges fit on 3 out of 4 doors. On top of that, the first one I built didn't have the screws to mount the hinges at all, but I did have a second bag of nails. Always double check the hardware and all of the pieces before you start building.

I would have gave this product five stars, but the door stop location holes were off 1/2 inch and doors would not close. I had to locate stops. Does not take away from the quality looks of the piece. Will be located in a bedroom and used as a book case and additional storage.

Using for organizing school supplies. Good and sturdy, easy to assemble. Doors were harder to align and requires more of guesstimation then just following instructions. Overall, meets expectations

Easy to assemble and quality is awesome. Color of cabinet is very good looking and realistic to real wood. Great job.

Rescind my evaluation. I just discovered the screw for left/right motion want not attached to the grove plate. It works now. I'll send another evaluation in soon.

Just purchased 4 units. Adjusting the doors properly isn't for the average homeowner. Despite knowing the three adjustments, these shelves either flop and look terrible or overlap when closed. Tell me there is a video to show me how to make this work. If I can't work through it, I'm send all four units back.

As advertised; beautiful cherry color with nice shaker door style that fits all of our furniture. We are an education family with many books...it was a necessary addition!

Hanging doors could have been easier

I couldn't be happier with this Sauder bookcase! It looks fantastic in our living room—sleek, modern, and just the right size for both books and decorative pieces. Assembly was straightforward thanks to the clear instructions, and all the pieces were well-labeled and well-packaged. Once assembled, it felt sturdy and solid—not wobbly or cheap like some other flat-pack furniture I've bought in the past. The woodgrain finish is beautiful and elevates the whole space. Great value for the price! I'll definitely consider Sauder again for future furniture needs.

I purchased this bookcase because of the size and color and the two lower doors. It was easy to put together. The pieces were all in excellent condition. No dents or scratches. Looks great and holds all of my books, cd's and dvd's. I would definitely purchase it again.

Can't think of anything that is "great" about it. Not only can I not think of anything "great" about this product, I can't think of anything even remotely "good". I just purchased a Sauder model 426414, a bookcase with doors at the bottom. I made this purchase because I bought one 15 years ago and was impressed. Unfortunately, this was not a similar experience. The assembly instructions are, at times, vague. The precision of manufacture is less than what it should/could be. The design is abysmal - The doors only open 90 degrees. My other bookcase doors open 180 degrees. Making it a two piece product (upper and lower halves) makes it less rigid making a strap to the wall at the top of the bookcase essential yet the strap Sauder provided is completely inadequate for the task. I had to purchase two metal L-Brackets to ensure safety. Truth be told, it's a piece of junk and I'm stuck with. I'm totally disappointed and dissatisfied with the decline of Sauder and it's product. I would expect and hope for some financial remuneration from Sauder to compensate me for this horrific experience but I'm not holding my breath. It is intuitively obvious to even the casual observer that any company with a business model that mandates going "on the cheap" doesn't care about customer satisfaction or me.

We love this bookcase. The color was even better than excepted. It was easy to assemble. The doors can be adjusted to close nicely. It's a great addition to our living room.

I'm very happy with the product, good quality and easy to put together, I am a woman, over 60 and I was able to put it together on my own without any problems in a few hours.
