A: Hi MariaJ, Our new Blink Indoor (gen 2) and Outdoor, Mini and XT2 cameras have two-way audio. Here is a guide to help use this new feature.
Before using this feature, you must confirm the Blink app has permission to use the microphone on your device.
iOS: Access Settings and then scroll down and select Blink from the apps list. The Microphone must be enabled.

Android: Access Phone Settings, Apps and scroll down and select Blink from the list. Then select App permissions and Microphone.

Allow must be enabled in the permissions for microphone access.

Your cameras will now be capable of two-way audio, as explained in the following instructions.
First tap on the Live View button for any of your eligible cameras. This button is in the bottom left corner of the camera photo.
Live view button
While you're in Live View, you’ll see a round “Talk” button in the bottom left portion of the app.
Talk button
To use two-way audio you must press and hold on this button. Once you press the button wait 1-2 seconds, then begin speaking. Your voice will come out through the speaker on the front of your Blink Indoor (gen 2) or Outdoor camera, the bottom of your XT2 camera or the top of your Mini.

When you’re done speaking, we recommend taking your finger off the Talk button instead of holding it for the entire conversation.

Overpriced Price was a lure to get you to buy this and set it up in your home. Then you find out later all the footage is being regulated by someone with access to your personal footage in New York or LA. Very much a hidden spy camera to your surroundings and is not a real security camera like RING by any means but an over glorified method to secretly steal personal information about your personal life; plus it turns off when you need it on 🤷♀️

Screen needs refreshing everh 1-2 minute
The screen for monitoring within the app needed refreshing every 1-2 minutes! During which time it would turn to a pink screen with a refresh button. Need I say more? What’s even the point if the monitoring isn’t continuous? We wanted to use it as a baby monitor because our Wyze cam cable broke. When I wake up middle of the night, I’d like to just turn over and glance at my phone (which I have mounted on a stand with app turned on) to ensure baby is safe. Night one, realized instead, that every single time I went to look at it, it was no longer capturing the room anymore and would be on the refresh screen. Not to mention, even after pressing refresh, takes a moment to reload, then I have to zoom/whatever it is I need to do personally in order to have a good view of the crib. Imagine doing this when you’re so tired in the middle of the night and expect to be able to just give the phone a quick glance, instead it required manipulating and waiting every time. Not acceptable and so annoying. No wonder it was discounted. Returned and got a replacement Wyze camera. You get what you pay for.

Just overall awful. Set up was quick but the camera isn’t live and most of the features need a subscription to use. Even the motion activation is awful. I tried changing all the settings that said could be the issue but even then I had to almost walk into the camera for it to activate. Do not buy, you’re better off with a Ring camera.
