Q: Are these "soft" bristles, as opposed to those labeled medium or hard? I cannot see where the softness is labeled on the product.

submitted by sjohnson - 6 years ago
  • A: Some of the reviews indicated that these are soft. However, in my opinion, they feel a bit hard (stiff) and not soft at all. Because of it, I move around a little more slowly than I usually do (which they recommend you do anyway). They work well though.

    Not worth the savings

Each replacement head comes with a cover and they fit nicely on my sonicare, which is great. But the bristles are spaced really far apart, feel softer yet somehow feel stabby on the gum. They seem thick and less effective. The bristles fall out as well leading to some discomfort when a bristle got stuck deep in between my teeth. This is a less expensive alternative that is not worth the savings unfortunately.

Upon first use the brush head is significantly smaller and bristles thinner or softer than Sonic ones. The brush didn't pulsate normally, it seemed to make the sound but not the level of movement that I was used to. Within two weeks my my toothbrush won't charge nor work! I will purchase a Sonic one and see if it works ever again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The powered toothbrush head was absolutely a great selection. It is just as powerful as other brands. I was impressed with how well it cleaned my teeth and how long it held up. I also like that the bristles were not too tough on my teeth or gums. After using my mouth and teeth really felt clean.

These just don't compare to the original, my biggest complaint is it splatters way more now onto the mirror. they fit mostly fine, but every now and then have to push back down. I'd rather splurg for the real ones.

I have purchased the Up and Up replacement heads in the past and they worked great. These are a different kind than previous purchase. Vibrates loudly and after a few weeks will not stay on the brush. Vibrates off.

DO NOT PURCHASE. Our sonicare toothbrushes (2) no longer work after using these off brand heads. Wish I would’ve paid the extra $$ for the name brand, now we have to spend over a 100 to replace the whole toothbrush

I bought these for a discontinued version of the Sonicare 4100 Protective Clean from late 2020. It fits fine but doesn't pulse like the original brush head, maybe with 1/10 the intensity. I think this is because it lacks the pressure sensor feature installed in all Sonicare replacement brush heads. Save your money, buy the name brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these toothbrush heads free in exchange for my honest opinion. These toothbrush heads are good. They snap securely onto my brush…there’s no rattling or popping off. The brushes themselves are good, though just the slightest bit softer than my usual medium stiffness brushes. Despite the slight softness, they get between the teeth and clean well. I’d get these again when they’re out, and I plan to get both these and the firm to compare.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these brushes to to try out and really liked them. I'm kind of picky with different toothbrush heads and alot of in my opinion has to do with personal preference and performance. I had no discomfort and been using the toothbrush heads for weeks. Makes my mouth feel clean and fresh. I will be putting more on my shopping list.
