Q: Are these "soft" bristles, as opposed to those labeled medium or hard? I cannot see where the softness is labeled on the product.

submitted by sjohnson - 7 years ago
  • A: Some of the reviews indicated that these are soft. However, in my opinion, they feel a bit hard (stiff) and not soft at all. Because of it, I move around a little more slowly than I usually do (which they recommend you do anyway). They work well though.

You may as well get a Brillo pad to brush your teeth with. These bristles are hard and hurt. I felt like my gums were bleeding after I brushed. RETURN.

    Broke my toothbrush

I have had my sonicare toothbrush for a while and typically buy the name brand replacement heads. I decided to try the target brand this time because they were cheaper. However, it got stuck on the part of my toothbrush it is supposed to attach to and it will not come out. Now, the top part falls out of the toothbrush body every time I try to use it. The package says compatible with sonicare electric toothbrushes, but that was not the case for me. Now I have to buy a whole new toothbrush, and these toothbrushes are not cheap. I have never experienced this issue before with the sonicare brand heads, and I am very frustrated with this product.

Junk. So soft. My teeth felt dirty just a few hours later. Skip these and buy the name brand.

    Dangerous — bristles falling out!

These are awful and need to be recalled for safety reasons. The bristles are falling out and I randomly keep finding them in my mouth after brushing.

    Thumbs Down & Down

Even though this was a cheaper alternative than buying the name brand, these still cost a lot of money! Was totally shocked to experience the bristles coming out upon using it for the first time. Not sure how other reviewers know that the bristles come out of theses toothbrush heads and still gave a high rating. In my opinion this has a major quality flaw and the product should be recalled immediately for being a hazard.

Decent toothbrush head, the bristles do tend to fall out while in use. Price-wise, when compared to the actual Sonic replacement heads, this cannot be beat.

    Pick the name brand version.

Bought these because the name brand version was $11 more - spend the money on the name brand version. These hurt my gums and make brushing unpleasant. Bristles are too hard.

    Read the reviews too late!!!

Upon first use the brush head is significantly smaller and bristles thinner or softer than Sonic ones. The brush didn't pulsate normally, it seemed to make the sound but not the level of movement that I was used to. Within two weeks my my toothbrush won't charge nor work! I will purchase a Sonic one and see if it works ever again!

    Clean toothbrush head

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The powered toothbrush head was absolutely a great selection. It is just as powerful as other brands. I was impressed with how well it cleaned my teeth and how long it held up. I also like that the bristles were not too tough on my teeth or gums. After using my mouth and teeth really felt clean.
