This floral purple color does have some strong magenta undertones and will generally fade into a pink shade. As a highly pigmented color, Violet Dream will give a deep warm tint to darker shades of hair, and will cover up brassy tones without any issues. It will turn out best on hair that is around a level 7 or lighter!

literally did nothing on my daughter's virgin hair. I was so excited to dye her hair for the first time and give her that perfect Rumi purple hair and not only am im extremely disappointed, she was so sad. would not purchase again!

Once again, exactly what I wanted
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Ritual! It's been my go to for my last three dyes. I can always depend on it to start fading after a few weeks. At first, it's this wonderful dark reddish purple in my medium brown hair. It's fun without being in other people's faces. Then the long fade out to a reddish brown, to eventually a warm brown at the end. So easy to just dye it and forget about it. Very low maintenance.

Not the color it was supposed to be.
I purchased this to go onto previously bleached blonde/gray hair. Directions stated to leave in in for 30 minutes but longer wouldn't hurt. I left it in for 40 minutes. The color is nowhere near Dark Red. Its raspberry pink.

Maybe skip the Ritual
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The color looked great coming out and going on. Than the 1st wash came even after waiting 48 hours the color washed half away. Within 3 washes im at a 75% loss of color. I had expected it to last a bit longer. The upside is this brand is great the color left my hair feeling healthier and smoother. So for a short term option this would be great

My plan was to have purple ends but I did orange all over and loved it so much I’m keeping it. I’ve had so many compliments as well
