In love .. I swear my sensitive skin barrier loves this stuff! Especially with tretinoin uglies! It helps prevent that!

new formula changed??? feels like a paste and not a barrier cream. too drying now. please bring back the old formula please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Face covered with acne after one use!!!

I have been using to control a skin condition I regularly battle. I have loved this cream for years. Recently, the formula must have changed. It separates and all of the water in the container squirts out before the cream. There is no way to remarry them inside the tube. It doesn’t feel the same.

I ordered the cream but all i mostly get out is this blue tinted liquid, even after shaking.

All of the people complaining that it’s watery clearly haven’t massaged the tube to mix it up prior to opening the cap and squeezing it out. It does separate, like anything containing zinc does. It should say on the directions you need to massage the tube to mix the product up each time. Hopefully I’m not the only person with common sense who thought to do that…this stuff is amazing. It’s a cure all for sensitive skin.

What happened to this product?? I used to love this cream and it was perfect for healing my skin barrier. However, clearly the formula has been changed. The product is badly separated and a bunch of liquid comes out when I’m trying to use it instead of the thick cream it is supposed to be. So disappointing, will not be repurchasing unless they change the formula back!

When using the cream, water squirts out which makes it messy and difficult to use. Because of this, I would not recommend and will personally look for something with a better consistency.

I’m always nervous to try out new skin products because I’m super sensitive and allergic to things, but I’m so happy I gave this a chance! It’s the perfect amount of moisture without being greasy and doesn’t have a weird smell or texture at all! Will be repurchasing as soon as I run out!

I’ve already bought a second tube for when the first one runs out next month. This has helped my excema/rosacea skin tremendously! I thought no routine would ever help me break out of my dry, scaly ways but this has.

My husband's skin was ruined after he used a chemo cream that his doctor prescribed. We tried everything. Nothing worked until I found Avene. I had the spray water on my counter and he tried it. It immediately calmed his skin down. So, I ordered the restorative protective cream. It's actually working! Within days his skin started to look better. I highly recommend it.

I purchased this last week and was disappointed to find the product was entirely liquid, making it impossible to achieve a usable consistency. Unfortunately, it’s not fit for use. I would not recommend it.

What I received felt more like a tube of water than a cream. It came out as a separated liquid and never blended back together. It was completely unusable and returned next day.

I was having major irritation issues with my skin. I wasn't even sure what was causing it, but a friend told me to try this and use nothing but this and my skin calmed down within 2 days. I'm not using anything but this again. It makes my skin so soft and there is no irritation and no redness. Love this product!

I loved this for 15 years! I would NOT be without it! I gave as gifts and recommended to all my friends. In my November 2024 order it changed! It’s full of water, the consistency of cottage cheese and impossible to use! I am heartbroken!

I bought Calciate by Avène after it was recommended to me following a Morpheus8 facial treatment. The cream leaves my skin feeling super hydrated, calm, and nourished — which I really appreciate, especially after such a treatment. However, there’s one thing that concerns me: every time I squeeze the tube, a clear, watery liquid comes out, separate from the cream itself. I’m not sure if this is normal or if the product might be damaged or expired. It makes me hesitant to keep using it. I would love to hear if others have experienced the same thing or if I should contact the brand directly.

I've been using Avene Cicalfate for years and love it on my perioral dermatitis, eczema, & any other troubled skin areas. It soothes dry burny skin & really feels like it helps create a protective barrier. When someone in the family has a sunburn, wind burn, razor rash, small skin allergy or other broken skin this is our go to.

This moisturizer is amazing. Whenever I’m feeling extra dry or when I’m burnt from the summer sun, this is my holy grail. The only negative is that it can feel a bit greasy so I don’t like to use it as my everyday moisturizer especially if I’m planning to wear makeup. Great night time moisturizer. I do suspect that it would be a great daily moisturizer if you are super dry though.
