Description
The Avalon 3 Temperature Bottom Loading Water Cooler with Child Safety Lock is made with an innovative stainless steel body. It offers a choice of 3 water temperatures. The easy-to-use push button spouts make it so much more convenient to use. Simply press the temperature button of choice and allow the water to flow from the given spout. The machines highly efficient compressor makes the cold water crisp and ice cold at approximately 47° F without the need of adding ice cubes to your drink. The hot faucet is hot enough to cook one's tea or coffee or any other steaming hot beverage at approximately 185° F. Due to the extremely hot water, we've added a child safety lock on the hot water faucet. We have incorporated a nightlight that can be switched on from the back of the unit. This will make filling up your cup at night so much more simple and easy. The dispensing area is 12x3x10 inches with 9 inches of space below the spouts. This will accommodate most large cups or bottles. There is a removable drip tray at the bottom of the dispensing area to catch any drips or spills. This water cooler is bottom loading with a cabinet to hold 3 or 5 gallon bottles. The water is pumped from the bottle through the machine. There is also an empty-bottle indicator that will light up when the bottle needs to be replaced. The water cooler is UL listed and complies with all standards of Energy Star. The unit dimensions are 41x12x13 inches.

A: Yes, you can use a 5 Gallon water bottle for this device. I've been using the 5 Gallon Poland Spring bottle for this device.

Q: Can I use a glass 5 gallon with this?

A: Hi Natalie, Yes, a 5-gallon glass bottle will be compatible with this unit. Most glass bottles are designed with a twist on/off cap so they can be refilled and stored. Some of these bottles tend to have a more narrow neck and can be a bit too narrow to connect to the probe properly. When selecting a glass bottle you simply want to look for one with a neck width of 47-55mm wide. If you would like any additonal information our customer support team would be happy to help. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It does what it's supposed to do. I'm not crazy about the amount of heat released sometimes in the back, but it's not a constant problem at this point, so I'll keep an eye on it.

Cooler has a product design failure. It has 1 year warranty and the unit temperature sensor fails around 6 months later. Buy an extended warranty. This is my second Avalon Water Dispenser. Only reason I bought the same model was to appease my wife.

So far it’s been good. It does make a bit more noise than our previous water dispenser but it has bothered us yet. We believe that the water had a different taste but not sure if it was because it is new. So far it is good.

The first unit I purchased the door wasn’t properly attached so you could never close it and get water to fill. I returned it and had a new unit sent. Now one month in and it leaks everywhere constantly
