    Compact waffle maker

    Kitchen space is precious in our house so having a compact waffle maker is a huge win. I try to keep the kitchen no/low tox so ceramic plates over non stick was a motivating factor for me. The waffles cook evenly and come out golden brown. The only thing I noticed is the light isn’t always reliable. On occasion it will turn white before the waffle is done to my liking so you just have to watch the steam and determine when it’s truly done. Overall I would recommend using this waffle maker, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

    Hard to clean

    this waffle maker is very hard to clean. if the batter gets into the edges or overflows, the spaces are are to reach for cleaning. used it may be 10 times at max and it looks very messy.

    Plates Are Not Removable

    I purchased this item specifically because a Product Expert answered "Yes" that the plates are removable for cleaning; they are not. I also downgraded it because the handle gets extremely hot making flipping a waffle difficult. It's cute, but not necessary, that you can stand it on end for storeage, but the one I purchased would not stay in the "stand" position. Despite these issues, the waffles are decent.
