Q: Some tea companies use a little plastic in the tea bags to keep them from falling apart. Does Bigelow use plastic in the tea bags?

A: Over 98% of the tea bags we manufacture use a non-heat seal paper made of wood pulp and abaca fiber. This non-heat seal paper is used for all our tea boxes that contain 18, 20, 28, 60, 80 and 100 tea bags. The remaining 2% of our tea bags (i.e., 40 count) use a heat seal paper. Heat seal paper is made of wood pulp and plant- based PLA derived from corn and sugar cane.

I basically drink only mint teas for years now. and have tried many brands, looking for one that has a good strong flavour of mint. Most are very weak - sometimes needing two teabags to give enough flavour. And the colour looks more like water than tea. I just tried this tea during a recent hotel stay that served Bigelow tea. It is the best, strongest flavour of mint that I've had, and it steeps very quickly to a nice brown "tea" colour! Great brand I'll be buying again.

The first time I opened the tin (when it came in tins) I almost cried. It was the exact same peppermint scent in a childhood Christmas scratch-n-sniff book I had. It will always be my favorite tea.

I drink this daily. It helps with my chronic inflammation and bloating from a medical issue I'm diagnosed with. My teenage daughter drinks it as well. I recommend it to everyone. It's always in my kitchen!

Great tea. So therapeutic and relaxing for me. Bigelow is the only brand I drink. Peppermint is my go to for relieving stress headaches. Also great if you have nasal stuffiness from a cold.
