For years I have been using the spot cleaner/blot method to clean the spots on the carpet. Sometimes, it is very difficult to get the stain off on the first try. Switched to a Bissell pet extractor machine with this cleaner. Very good success on the first try in cleaning the stain. Overall it is more time efficient than my previous method. Bonus, is I use the cleaner on some upholstery and it works great.

Our ottoman with the cloth top needed a trough cleaning, no problem for this unit. Be sure to use HOT water, 140 degrees F or lower. This makes a difference in the result. When the job is done, cleaning the Bissell is fast. Make sure to let the reservoir air dry before storage.
