BISSELL Revolution HydroSteam Pet - 3424: Carpet Cleaner Machine, Electric, Pet Hair Pick Up, Heated Cleaning, 3 Speeds

This is the worst carpet shampooer I’ve ever owned. I’m not even sure where to begin with what I didn’t like. First, the head of the machine just gets clogged with shampoo, the suds sit there the entire time you’re using it. It leaves your carpets sopping wet. I did two rooms before realizing this and went through six rolls of paper towels trying to blot up some of the extra water. 24 hours later and having every fan in my home pointed at the floor- my carpets are still wet and I’m very concerned about mold now and may have to replace them. The instructions say to do two passes while holding the trigger to dispense shampoo, but then to go over it “a few” times to suck up the water. I did 27 passes and it was still soaking wet. After discussing with a friend, she also has the same problems with her model so it’s not user error. I’m shocked at the performance and extremely disappointed based on so many positive reviews which enticed me to purchase this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced my old Bissell from 15 years ago. It still worked but I wanted newer technology. We got a new puppy and this has been working fantastic! Rainy weather and muddy feet with occasional accidents have been cleaned up with no problems!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In two passes this carpet cleaner brought my 4 year old light gray carpet back to new! The only dray back for me is the size for the solution and dirty water! but besides that this machine cleans great!

Bought this a year ago and it is now in the basement collecting dust. Maybe I can give it away because I won't be putting any more money into it. The belt to move the bars broke after the third use. I took it out yesterday to clean a rug and the bars wouldn't move. Took it apart and the belt was broken! In 14 months this happens??!! It probably snapped after the second use and I didn't see the issue. Plus, it left my area rugs soaking wet after even when I would attempt to extract the water for numerous dry passes. I fell for all the hype and am severely disappointed. Now I need to buy a new machine and it certainly won't be a Bissell.

Okay, writing a new review after reading other reviews. It is having another problem that I just assumed was part of steam cleaning your carpet?? 1. This thing is horribly loud. It is SO LOUD. I feel like I'm going to lose my hearing by using it. They are ringing after every use. It SCREAMS the entire time I use it. I think it is the rubber seal between the dirty water tank and the device, because I can sometimes wedge a sock in there and it will stop for a bit. Or, it used to stop for a bit.... Then the sound is totally manageable. 2. I just assumed the floor would be pretty wet after use, but apparently it isn't supposed to be?? I need to use towels after every use, lay them down all over the floor and walk constantly, then after a little bit I pull up all those towels, wash and dry them, and put them all down again. This goes on for two-three DAYS before the carpet is dry enough to walk on without getting wet feet all the time. 3. The upholstery attachment doesn't spray water or solution at all. It does sort of suction I think? But the suction is weaker than I had expected. I imagine it is too late for me to do anything about it; I've had it for a while now. Definitely contact them the moment you notice anything wrong, ESPECIALLY if you notice it upon first use. I didn't realize the screaming or excessive moisture wasn't normal; I've never had devices like this before.

Love my carpet clean revolution hydrosteam 3424F but can't find the belts for it.

There seems to be a lot of product released with the cleaning mode and 2-3 passes are necessary, not just suggested, but, the floors dried quickly. If I could I'd give 4.5 stars Easy to assemble.
